The Miami Heat and the Indiana Pacers have given us some great battles over the last two seasons, and they will square off again this Wednesday at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse, at 8 PM ET, in a game that could shape the landscape of the Eastern Conference.
“I know everybody’s trying to make the games important back in December,” Chris Bosh said. “Well, now they’re important.”
Indiana has a two game lead over Miami at the top of the East standings, but they have dropped three of their last four games, including a loss against Chicago at the United Center on Monday.
“We’re just not clicking,” Pacers center Roy Hibbert said after his team lost at Chicago on Monday night. “And we should be clicking.”
The Heat beat the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday with a late bucket by Lebron James; Miami wasted a 17 point lead in the fourth quarter before the winning play by James.
“It’s coming down to a photo finish,” Bosh added. “We have a unique opportunity. No matter what’s happened this whole season, we’re within striking distance. It’s here and it’ll be a great playoff atmosphere. I can’t wait.”
Indiana is a three point favorites in the NBA point spread for this game on Wednesday. The Pacers are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 Wednesday games, and 7-20-1 ATS in their last 28 games as a favorite. The Heat is 0-6 ATS in their last six road games.
