The Louisiana Gaming Control Board has allocated up to 41 licenses for various online sports betting operators, which could make this one of the most crowded markets in the country. That’s great news for Louisiana sports bettors, as it gives them a wide variety of platforms and a ton of sign-up promos to take advantage of.
These apps are approved for use in 55 of 64 parishes in the Bayou State. The largest cities like New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Lafayette are making mobile sports betting available, however there are nine parishes where you can’t use these apps:
- Caldwell
- Catahoula
- Franklin
- Jackson
- LaSalle
- Sabine
- Union
- West Carroll
- Winn
New customers in the restricted parishes can still register with Louisiana sportsbook apps, they just can’t place any wagers from these regions.
