Ohio State needs to win on Saturday if they want to be in the BCS championship game; Michigan State won’t make it easy for them as they meet at 8:17 PM ET at Lucas Oil Stadium, in the Big Ten championship game.

The Buckeyes are 12-0 and with the loss of Alabama last week, they are now the second best team in the nation, only behind Florida State.

“Our focus is on this game, and that’s it,” Buckeyes Urban Meyer said. “It’d be a disservice to our players if I went and worried about it. We have to move the ball against a great defense, and that’s my focus.”

“I feel very strongly about my team,” Meyer added. “I would take this team anywhere with me. A team that knows how to win and refuses to lose is a special team, and this is a very special team.”

For Michigan State, the game means a lot too; the Spartans are 11-1 and they need a victory to secure a spot in the Rose Bowl.

“I don’t know,” said Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio about the Rose Bowl berth. “I’m not thinking about losing. We’re going to look at the things we can control.”

Ohio State is 5.5 point favorites in the point spread, and the game total was set at 51.5.

Michigan State is 2-6-1 ATS in its last 9 games when playing Ohio State, 1-8 straight up. Also, the total has gone UNDER in 4 of Michigan State’s last 5 games when playing Ohio State.
