After losing senior quarterback Braxton Miller a few weeks ago, the Ohio State Buckeyes are still trying find its identity with freshman J.T. Barrett now controlling the offense.

Last week’s opener was a nail biter early on with Barrett throwing a second quarter interception. Barrett said, “After the interception, I was, like, ‘J.T., you know you shouldn’t have thrown it,’ but you still threw it and now you’ve got make up for it,”

This week Barrett will have his hands full with the Virginia Hokies who are looking for national respect. That’s why Buckeyes Coach Urban Meyer knows Barrett must play better.

Meyer said, “I wouldn’t mind, when he decides to run, to really go. But he played pretty well.”

Hokies coach Frank Beamer knows his squad will have a hard time with the Buckeyes defense. Beamer said, “Their defensive front, I’m not sure anybody’s better in the country. [They] certainly have the talent of a national championship team.”

Considering the Buckeyes are still coming together with Barrett, odds are this game will be closer than expected, which means the Hokies and the points could be the play.
