Eastern Washington Betting Trends
Sophomore swingman Steele Venters scored 15 points to lead Eastern Washington in the loss to Yale before fouling out.
Venters is averaging 11.0 points through the Eagles’ first two games. That is down from 17.6 last season when he was the Big Sky Conference Freshman of the Year.
Steele Venters looks like a name to track in the Big Sky as the EWU wing is tallying 65% TS & 62.1% EFG on 12 FGA per game thus far.

Sophomore forward Ethan Price had a solid all-round game as he finished with 14 points, six rebounds and three blocked shots. Sophomore forward Casey Jones added 11 points.
Eastern Washington was outrebounded 36-24 and committed 16 turnovers. The Eagles also forced 16 turnovers.
Eastern Washington has four players with double figure scoring averages in the first week of the season
Senior forward Angelo Allegri leads the Eagles with 12.5 points a game along with averages of 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists. Junior guard Tyreese Davis is scoring 12.0 points and dishing 3.0 assists a game while Jones has averages of 10.5 points and 6.5 rebounds.
Hawaii Betting Trends
Perhaps the most heartening part of its season-opening victory over Mississippi Valley State for Hawaii was the play of senior guard Samuta Avea.
Avea scored 20 points in his first game after missing the previous two seasons. He opted out in 2020-21 because of the COVID-19 pandemic then missed last season with a back injury.

Junior guard Noel Coleman led the Warriors with 22 points as he was 5 of 10 on three-pointers. The native of Belgium averaged 14.0 points last season.
Bernardo da Silva had a double-double as he scored 10 points and pulled down 11 rebounds. That came a year after he had season averages of 10.0 points and 6.4 rebounds.
Hawaii has high hopes for senior forward Kamaka Hepa. A one-time top-100 recruit, he averaged 9.4 points and 5.0 rebounds last season. He was limited to five points and four rebounds in 26 minutes by Mississippi Valley State.
The Warriors won their opener despite shooting 26.5% from distance as they made just 9 of 34 three-point attempts.
Eastern Washington vs Hawaii Prediction
The schools last played during the 2011-12 season with Eastern Washington winning 89-72 on the road. Playing for a second straight night is a tough ask for Hawaii, so look for the Eagles to hang with the Warriors.
