The NCAA Tournament is set, and the madness is officially set to begin on Tuesday with the First Four games featuring UMBC vs Howard, and NC State versus Texas. At first glance, the South Region looks like the most competitive group, with heavyweights Florida, Houston and Illinois all battling for a spot in the Final Four.

As for Duke, the tournament’s top overall seed, they’ll anchor the East region and head into the NCAA Tournament with the shortest price in the March Madness odds, looking for the program’s sixth title.

Odds to Win East Region

Team (Seed)Odds
Duke (1)-175
UConn (2)+450
Kansas (4)+1000
Michigan State (3)+1150
St. John’s (5)+1300
Louisville (6)+2500
UCLA (7)+5000
Ohio State (8)+7100
UCF (10)+10000
TCU (9)+12500
South Florida (11)+17500
Northern Iowa (12)+25000
Cal Baptist (13)+50000
North Dakota State (14)+50000
Furman (15)+50000
Siena (16)+50000

Duke will get their tournament started on Thursday, laying 27.5 points to Siena in the college basketball odds. The Blue Devils have cracked the Final Four in two of the past four years, and boast the second shortest price at -175 to get back there this season. To do that they’ll likely have to get past UConn in the Elite Eight, which would set up as one of the games of the tournament.

Wooden Award odds favorite Cameron Boozer leads a Duke team that ranks top-four in offensive and defensive efficiency, but the program is also dealing with injuries to starters Caleb Foster and Patrick Ngongba. Despite their absences, Duke still managed to win the ACC Tournament, defeating Virginia in the final.

The East is far from the most favorable draw the Blue Devils could have received. The Huskies are a top-six favorite to win it all, while Michigan State and Kansas are both top-11 contenders. Nobody should sleep on St. John’s either, who just routed UConn on Saturday in the Big East Final.

Odds to Win Midwest Region

Team (Seed)Odds
Michigan (1)-181
Iowa State (2)+450
Virginia (3)+2000
Tennessee (6)+2100
Alabama (4)+2200
Kentucky (7)+3000
Texas Tech (5)+3300
St. Louis (9)+10000
Georgia (8)+15000
Santa Clara (10)+20000
SMU/Miami OH (11)+25000/+30000
Akron (12)+25000
Hofstra (13)+25000
Wright State (14)+50000
Tennessee State (15)+50000
UMBC/Howard (16)+150000/OFF

Moving to the Midwest Region, where Michigan should be a very popular bet to emerge from the group in college basketball public betting circles. The Wolverines were defeated in the Big Ten Championship on Sunday, but have a very favorable draw.

Their biggest competition will be Iowa State and Virginia, two teams they rank significantly higher than in offensive and defensive efficiency. As a result, Michigan has the shortest odds to crack the Final Four at -181, and the second shortest price to win it all.

If you’re looking for a sleeper in this group, Tennessee is a team the books seem afraid of. The Volunteers are seeded sixth in the Midwest, but have the fourth shortest price in the group to advance to the Final Four.

Odds to Win South Region

Team (Seed)Odds
Florida (1)-103
Houston (2)+210
Illinois (3)+360
Vanderbilt (5)+1400
Nebraska (4)+2000
North Carolina (6)+6600
Saint Mary’s (7)+8000
Clemson (8)+8000
Iowa (9)+8000
Texas A&M (10)+10000
VCU (11)+17500
McNeese (12)+50000
Troy (13)+50000
Penn (14)+50000
Idaho (15)+150000
Prairie View A&M/Lehigh (16)+150000/+150000

We might as well call the South Region the group of death. Defending champion Florida earned top seed honors ahead of last year’s runner-up Houston, while the region also features Illinois. Each of the three schools are among the eight shortest priced teams to win it all, while you can also make a case for Nebraska and Vanderbilt.

The Cornhuskers finished ahead of the Fighting Illini in the Big Ten this season, while the Commodores just upset Florida en route to the SEC Final. The Gators may be a -103 favorite to emerge, but this is the group most likely to see a ton of madness ensue.

Odds to Win West Region

Team (Seed)Odds
Arizona (1)-138
Purdue (2)+650
Gonzaga (3)+1200
Arkansas (4)+1200
Wisconsin (5)+1600
BYU (6)+5000
Miami FL (7)+6600
Villanova (8)+8000
Missouri (10)+9000
Utah State (9)+10000
High Point (12)+25000
Texas/NC State (11)+35000/+8000
Hawai’i (13)+50000
Queen’s (15)+50000
LIU (16)+50000
Kennesaw State (14)+150000

Last but not least, we have the West Region headlined by Arizona. The Wildcats boast -138 odds to advance to the Final Four, with Big Ten Champ Purdue and perennial contender Gonzaga providing the biggest threats.

If the Arizona’s side of the bracket stays chalk they’ll run into 4th seed Arkansas in the Sweet 16, which will be no picnic. The Razorbacks just won the SEC Tournament, and operate the sixth most efficient offense in college basketball.
