The High Point Panthers (31-4) started March Madness off with a bang on Day 1, and the 12th-seeded squad will be giant-slaying again Saturday, as they battle the 4th-seeded Arkansas Razorbacks (27-8).

Nor surprisingly, the Razorbacks are the heavy betting favorite in the college basketball odds.

This West Regional 2nd Round matchup is slated for Saturday at 8:45pm ET from the Moda Center in Portland, OR, with truTV and TBS carrying the broadcast coverage.

High Point vs Arkansas Prediction

  • pick: Over 168.5 points (-110 at bet365)

It was business as usual for the Razorbacks in Round 1, as they took apart Hawaii 97-78 to get their tournament dance card started.

Freshman phenom Daarius Acuff Jr, a sure-fire lottery pick in the 2026 NBA Draft odds, led the way in the opener with 24 points and seven assists.

Acuff fronts a Hogs’ offense that is tough for any team to contend with: they rank fourth in the nation in scoring at 90.1 point per game, with hefty splits shooting from the field (50%, 11th) and from 3-point range (38.3%, 16th).

But if there is a team that can run with them, it has to be the Panthers, who are still glowing after stunning the 5-seed Wisconsin Badgers in a thrilling 83-82 upset.

High Point is right behind the Razorbacks in scoring, putting up a crisp 90 points per game, and they hit at a solid 48.9% clip from the field, which ranks 20th overall.

While they only rank inside the Top 90 in 3-point shooting, they proved they could light it up on the big stage, drilling 15-of-40 from distance in Round 1, outscoring Wisconsin by 18 from beyond the arc.

Despite an impressive 31-4 record and romping through the Big South, High Point hadn’t downed a Top 50 team all year until it wiped out the Badgers, which sort of throws Arkansas’ perfect 20-0 record against teams outside the Top 50 for a loop.

This has the potential to be a high scoring affair, especially because the Razorbacks are one of the worst scoring defenses in the country, allowing 80 points a game (312th).

Outscoring their problems hasn’t been a problem so far, but with such a potent scoring opponent with belief on their side, my High Point vs Arkansas prediction is to take the Over.

High Point vs Arkansas Prop Picks

  • Pick: Rob Martin Over 4.5 assists (-112 at bet365)

High Point’s offense runs entirely through its point guard. He’s coming off a gem of a performance against Wisconsin, with 23 points and a game high 10 assists without a turnover.

Martin has had at least five dimes in five of his last six games.

  • Pick: Darius Acuff Jr Over 2.5 3-point makes (-140 at bet365)

Arkansas’ leading scorer and seventh overall in the country has been hitting threes at an impressive 44.4% clip this season, and he’s been around the 2.5 make line set for Saturday.

Acuff Jr has gone Over this number in three of the last five games, and in the other two he’s missed the Over by a single 3-point make in each. One of those was against Hawaii, when He went 2-for-5 from distance.

High Point vs Arkansas Odds

Odds as of March 21. The interactive table above will automatically update as the college basketball odds move over the course of the day.

Thinking another upset is in the cards? FanDuel offers healthy +520 odds for the Panthers to make it to the Sweet 16, while an Arkansas win straight up offers nearly no value, at best the -699 odds at DraftKings.

Getting those 11.5-points on High Point brings -105 odds, while the Hogs covering that number pays out at -110 odds at bet365.

Over bettors should go to bet365, where the total is set at 168.5 points, a full point below what’s being offered at FanDuel, where Under bettors should be flocking to.
