Alabama vs Oklahoma Prop Pick: Josh Cuevas Receiving Yards
Josh Cuevas was Ty Simpson’s go-to target in the first matchup against Oklahoma, hauling in six of seven targets for 80 yards and a touchdown. In fact, Cuevas has been Simpson’s security blanket all year long, but he hasn’t played since November 15th against the Sooners.
Thankfully, he’s now recovered from a foot injury and should be a big part of the Crimson Tide’s CFP gameplan. Remember, Alabama outgained the Sooners 406-212 in their first matchup but lost the turnover battle 3-0.
Simpson is fully capable of moving the football against Oklahoma’s secondary, as evidenced by his 326 yards last time out. He’ll target Cuevas early and often against the Sooner’s havoc-creating front seven, so expect three or four receptions to get us over this line.
After all, Cuevas also hit this mark against Vanderbilt, Missouri and LSU this season, so the menacing secondaries of the SEC are no match for the senior tight end.

Alabama vs Oklahoma Prop Pick: John Mateer Rushing Yards
Mateer rushed for 23 yards, including two sacks, on 10 carries in their first matchup, as the Crimson Tide front disrupted Oklahoma’s ground game and held them to just 74 total rushing yards.
Expect to see similar disruption on Mateer’s designed runs as Alabama focuses on taking away the run and making Oklahoma one-dimensional again. While the junior quarterback has 25+ rushing yards in three of his last six games, he’s hit 35 rushing yards just twice in his last eight games played.
Mateer’s 34.5 rushing yards prop is also 10 yards higher than the previous meeting, as books account for the added betting volume that comes along with a CFP game. Don’t fall into the trap, fade Mateer against the Crimson Tide defense on Friday night.
