A lustrous LA Bowl kicks off on Saturday, December 13th, as Boise State (9-4 SU, 8-4-1 ATS) takes on Washington (8-4 SU, 6-6 ATS). Washington is a 10.5-point favorite in this one, with the total at 52.5. The Huskies fell to Oregon 26-14 their last time out, while the Broncos defeated UNLV 38-21.

All of action gets underway at 8pm ET from SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California over on ABC.

Boise State vs Washington Prediction

Prediction: Washington wins

Washington’s resume is far more impressive than that of Boise State this season. The Huskies have beaten Maryland and Illinois, both ranked squads earlier this season. Jedd Fisch’s men have also kept things close against the likes of Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin and Oregon.

Boise State has no statement victory in 2025. Blowing out the likes of New Mexico, UNLV, and Colorado State doesn’t exactly inspire the same confidence. Diving further into the statistics, while the Broncos are excellent against the pass, they play in a conference without any truly elite quarterbacks.

Giving up 6.1 yards per pass and 170 passing yards per game against the passing attacks of the Mountain West is hardly the same as lining up against those of the Big 10. Plus, the Broncos rushing defense is extremely suspect, and will be exploited in the LA Bowl.

At the end of the day, Washington was a CFP Playoff finalist just two years ago. The Huskies attract a level of athlete at most positions that the Broncos rarely see.

How to Bet Boise State vs Washington

LA Bowl Betting Pick: Washington -10.5

Today’s LA Bowl will be won and lost in the trenches. Washington’s offense sits 19th in EPA per rush this season, while Boise State’s rushing defense is 123rd. The Huskies can simply pound the rock over and over, and leave SoFi Stadium with a win.

On top of that, Boise State will be without star left tackle Kage Casey as he’s opted out to focus on the NFL draft. On the Washington side, Fisch said he expects everyone to play, including stars Jonah Coleman, Denzel Boston and Tacario Davis. That’s bad news for the Broncos.

Coleman is the Huskies offensive engine and put up over 1,000 yards from scrimmage with 16 touchdowns this season. While Boston is one of the best receivers in the country, and hauled 56 receptions for 755 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Even if Washington’s rushing game doesn’t get going, the Huskies’ passing game is fully capable of leading them to victory. Led by dynamic sophomore Demond Williams Jr., Washington is 30th in EPA per pass and has an elite passing success rate of 50.6% which is 6th in the country.

Williams has thrown for 2,850 yards with 21 touchdowns and just eight interceptions, along with 595 and six touchdowns on the ground.

Additionally, Washington’s front seven is far more talented, allowing just 3.4 yards per rush and 106 yards per game. The Huskies have 21 sacks this season and will be able to get after Boise State quarterback Maddux Madsen who just returned from injury.
