With the football season in the rearview mirror, it’s time for Matt and Eric to kick back, relax, and catch up with the latest in the world of cinema. Luckily, Trevor is back to be their guide through the dense populous of movies they call this year’s Oscar nominees.

Despite only one-third of the podcast knowing what they’re talking about, the guys give their predictions for who will claim the biggest Academy Awards. They also try to figure out when Casey Affleck got good, how Mel Gibson is still around, and why Matt may be wrong about Suicide Squad being decent.

It’s a delightful hour of discussing the highs of popular culture (Happy Gilmore) to the lows (La La Land). Also, it’s pretty clear Eric wrote this description.

Trevor’s Picks: Best Picture – La La Land; Best Actor – Casey Affleck; Best Actress – Natalie Portman; Best Supporting Actor – Mahershala Ali; Best Supporting Actress – Viola Davis; Best Animated Feature – Zootopia; Best Documentary – OJ: Made in America.
