  • A ‘surprise’ eighth episode of Netflix’s runaway success series Tiger King is slated to arrive on the streaming platform this Sunday, April 12
  • Despite being a limited series, the follow-up episode is set to tie up loose ends and provide more depth into this wild cast of characters
  • Has one episode of television ever been this anticipated? Find out our predictions on Joe’s potential Presidential pardon and more

Ahh, Tiger King. It’s almost unbelievable to think that only three weeks ago, most of the Earth’s population didn’t know who Joe Exotic was. Within less than a month, he’s become a worldwide icon.

While Exotic presently sits behind bars amidst a global pandemic, he’s become what he always wanted to be during his time as a big cat entrepreneur: a celebrity. And given the immense success of the limited Netflix series he’s featured in, this Tiger King is returning for a special, unplanned eighth episode.

With Joe Exotic and Tiger King making a surprise return to Netflix this Easter weekend, the public will be preparing their popcorn and clearing their socially distanced calendars to make room to binge one last installment of the series.

So, what will the public find out about Joe and his fellow cast of colorful characters? With legal issues, a potential Hollywood adaption, COVID-19, and all elephants in the proverbial jail cell, there is only one certainty for now: it’s going to be a piece of great television.

Odds for Eighth Episode of Tiger King

Prop Yes Odds No Odds
Joe Exotic Says Which Actor He Wants To Play Him -140 N/A
Jeff Lowe’s Daughter is Shown +150 -200
Joe Exotic says “COVID-19” or “Coronavirus” -150 +110
Prop Over 7.5 Under 7.5
How Many Times “Baskin” is Said -110 -130

Odds taken April 9

Near the end of Tiger King‘s series, Jeff Lowe became a father. Now that some time has passed between the recording of the series and the new episode, he may want his daughter to stay off camera.

Lowe has had a controversial history and made a few enemies. Keeping his children away from his growing notoriety is most likely where his head’s at.

Pick: Jeff Lowe’s Daughter is Shown – No (-200)

Baskin For Trouble

Oh, Carole. Everyone in Tiger King‘s favorite scapegoat became an instant meme given the cast’s collective distaste for the animal rights activist. Her name is plastered all over the internet namely due to Exotic’s continual tendency to drag her name through the mud.

With only one episode of air time, though, it’s doubtful even Joe Exotic himself can manage to rattle off eight or more “That Bitch Carole Baskin”s. After all, the show has a lot of other ground to cover in this episode.

Pick: How Many Times Baskin is Said: Under 7 ½: (-130)

Odds on Which Tiger King Character Appears First

Person to Appear First Odds
Joe Exotic +140
Jeff Lowe +275
Carole Baskin +400
Joshua Dial +500
Rick Kirkham +600
Don Antle +700
John Finlay +700
Dillon Passage +800
James Garretson +1000
Travis Maldonado +1000

In its (so far) seven-episode run, Tiger King focused around three big cat owner-operators: Joe Exotic, Doc Antle, and Carole Baskin. Though the show is framed namely around Exotic, the other two come into play in a big way. If Joe is the runaway star of the series, Carole is coming for his title close behind.

But this prop exclusively looks at who will be the first personality seen on camera. Looking back at the pre-aired episodes, the first person on camera was Exotic in four episodes, Antle in two, and reality show producer Rick Kirkham in one.

If Tiger King‘s producers learned anything, it should be that the public is most enamored with the star of the show. Joe Exotic is everywhere you go these days. He’s talked about everywhere from Reddit to Presidential press briefings. He’s already in talks of being this year’s most chosen Halloween costume.

Tiger King episode eight is most likely to lead with Joe and focus on him for the duration of the episode. People want to know what he’s been up to in jail.

Pick: Joe Exotic (+140)

Odds for Arrests and Pardons

Prop Yes Odds No Odds
Jeff Lowe is Arrested Before January 1, 2021 +500 -900
Joe Exotic Receives Presidential Pardon +800 -2500

Considering the episode is going to debut now, both of these props look at the potential of Tiger King‘s stars in the near future. Neither of these questions can be tied up in a matter of days.

Jeff Lowe’s innocence has been a big question since Tiger King premiered. It’s hard not to second guess the motives, truths, and realities of the entire cast, but Lowe in particular has been the one audiences are honing in on. People want to know what his story really is.

Despite his insistence that he didn’t actually have anything to do with Carole Baskin’s planned murder, the general public seems to think he’s been up to no good. With a wild and suspicious history including bad behavior, the mass interest in Tiger King has certainly put a police target aimed at Lowe.

Earlier this week, President Trump was asked at a press briefing if he would pardon Joe Exotic. Propmakers latched onto this right away, and early props weighed heavily on no. Now, Joe’s pardon from Trump has even less likelihood of happening.

In short, Joe’s stuck behind bars and Jeff is safe to run his park for the meantime. That’s just the way it is, all you cool cats and kittens. Meow.

Pick: Both – No (-900), (No -2500)
