Leicester City (+468) at Chelsea (-169), Draw (+311)
This Saturday (7:30 AM Eastern), the reigning EPL champions from Leicester City (2-2-3, 8 pts) will try to get their season on track when they visit Chelsea (4-1-2, 13 pts) at Stamford Bridge in London.
Leicester were able to capture the title last season thanks to phenomenal play away from home. It’s been the exact opposite to start this year, with the Foxes losing all three of their away matches to date. The last two weren’t competitive as they fell 4-1 to both Man United and Liverpool. (West Ham and Burnley are the only other teams to lose every road game so far.)
Leicester have only given up 11 goals in seven matches, which is respectable, but ten of those have come in away games.
If there’s one thing the Foxes have going for them this year, it’s a hot start in the Champions League. The team is on top of Group F with a perfect six points through two fixtures after a 1-0 home win over Porto last time out.
Chelsea got off to a flying start in the EPL but have cooled a bit of late. They suffered their first setback of the season in their last home game (2-1 vs. Liverpool), then fell 3-0 Arsenal at the Emirates. The Blues got back in the win column in their most recent match, a 2-0 road win over Hull City.
Overall, Chelsea have outscored their opponents 12-9 on the year, including 6-3 at Stamford Bridge.
Leicester were able to get a win over Chelsea back in 2015 (2-1 home), but Chelsea have taken three of the last five (3-1-1), including a road win last year, when they were on their worst form in recent memory.
The Foxes magic has all but disappeared this season. Expect Chelsea to handle their business with relative ease on Saturday.
Pick: Chelsea (-169).
