  • Astralis is heavily favored to win the CS:GO Blast Pro Series Miami
  • Is Liquid capable of pulling off a major upset?
  • Does a North American team have any chance of prevailing?

If it wasn’t abundantly clear in 2018, the CS:GO world is living in the Astralis Era. If there was any doubt before, it has certainly been shattered after they walked their way to their third Major title in Katowice.

Coming through the Legends and Champions stage only dropping one map, they proved that they are the most dominant CounterStrike team of all-time. It is no surprise at all that they are heading into Blast Pro Series Miami as the odds on favorite to take it all.

Another Title for the Danes on the Horizon

Honestly, they should probably just give Astralis the title for Blast Pro Series Miami already. They are head and shoulders above both the number two and three teams in the world, in Liquid and Na’vi. It may be the biggest disparity ever from from the worlds number one team and other teams in the top five.

Comparing Astralis to the Golden State Warriors might just be a slight to the Danes at this point.

Comparing Astralis to the Golden State Warriors might just be a slight to the Danes at this point. Their level of dominance is something that I cannot remember happening not only esports, but across traditional team sports as well, aside from maybe the 90’s Chicago Bulls.

If you’re looking to bet for a team to come out on top at Blast Pro Series Miami, it would be straight up foolish to put money on any other team than Astralis. Barring some sort of ailment that would prevent one of the members of the squad from attending, it is already a foregone conclusion who will come out on top in Miami.

Pick: Astralis (-120)

Who Will Be Joining Astralis in the Finals?

Since Astralis is a lock to make it to the final two, it’s time to look at a few of the teams that may be able to reach the finals alongside the Danes. Among the remaining teams, it should be a pretty heated battle to see who will eventually find themselves across the stage from Astralis in the finals.

The only team I would say doesn’t really have a chance here would be Cloud9. They’ve reactivated Golden into the starting lineup after a few months on the sidelines, and have said goodbye to both Zellsis and flusha. These roster moves may just prove to be detrimental to the squad that seemed to be finding a rhythm, and I find it hard to believe that they will be able to find any success in Miami.

Liquid and Na’vi probably have the two best chances of reaching the finals at Blast Pro Series, as the number two and three teams in the world respectively, but MiBR shouldn’t be slept on either.

Liquid and Na’vi probably have the two best chances of reaching the finals at Blast Pro Series.

They will have more experience under their belt by the time Blast Pro Series Miami rolls around, and may even be close to reaching the level of their former selves when they teamed in 2017. They showed flashes of their old form at Katowice, so it’s just a matter of time until they start to fully gel as a team.

Pick: Astralis (-450), MiBR (+200)

Odds on Region to Win Blast Pro Series Miami

Which Region Will Win Blast Pro Series Miami? Odds
EU -200
NA +135

No Chance for NA

If you haven’t already been able to tell, this one should be a gimme for Astralis. Betting on an NA team to win at Blast Pro Series Miami would pretty much be like burning money. Look no further than EU here in this prop.

Pick: EU (-200)
