  • PSG.LGD’s odds have improved dramatically after a massive win against Virtus Pro
  • Can PSG.LGD keep rolling against Team Liquid?
  • Will the team that emerges from the Upper Bracket win The International 2018?

Here’s hoping you sprinkled a bit of that hard earned capital on PSG.LGD before The International 2018 began.

The Chinese squad opened up the tournament with average odds of +550 to make it out as champions, but after nothing less than a dominant run through the group stage and a massive win against rivals Virtus Pro, those odds are all the way down to +200.

PSG.LGD made hard work for themselves in times during Game 1 of their match against Virtus Pro, but thanks to some stellar play by Maybe, they’re moving on for a pivotal battle against Team Liquid.

To be fair, none of the matches in the Upper Bracket were particularly close with Team Liquid absolutely crushing OpTic Gaming, OG making quick work of VGJ Storm, and Evil Geniuses making everyone who picked Team Secret to move on look foolish with a 2-0 thrashing of the inconsistent club.

Now PSG has a real chance to win The International 2018, but first they’ll need to get by the defending champions and favourites to win it all this year. See how they stack up in our International 2018: Dota 2 Championship Odds Tracker.

PSG.LGD vs Team Liquid Odds

PSG.LGD Team Liquid
Spread +1.5 (-265) Spread -1.5 (+215)
Win +110 Win -135

While the spreads are hardly a reasonable way to bet on Dota in this tournament (matches typically finish 2-0 in the first place) There is some value for the outright winner. These teams are evenly matched and whoever comes out on top is going to be considered the favourite for the rest of the tournament.

Both teams square off first tonight at 7:00 PM EST, meaning the winner will get to sit and watch the next match between OG and Evil Geniuses starting just two hours later. That’s an advantage that can’t be ignored for the winner of the first match for the rest of the tournament. Being able to watch how a future opponent plays in real time and chooses matchups is vital for future success.

Team Odds
Team Liquid +180
PSG LGD +200
Evil Geniuses +275
OG +900
Vitrus Pro +1100

The Lower Bracket is live right now, meaning bets on futures have yet to fully form, but the chances still remain that whoever emerges from the Upper Bracket will win The International 2018.

The momentum is all in PSG.LGD’s corner thanks to some spectacular play, but do you really want to mess with the kings?

Take Team Liquid to win at -110 and thank me later.
