Say what you want about Bryson DeChambeau – and most people do considering he’s a polarizing figure in the world of golf – but the man is definitely not boring.

After packing on 20 pounds of muscle during the three month PGA Tour hiatus, he’s been blistering tee shots en route to a string of high finishes before missing the cut last week at the Memorial Tournament.

With the season’s first major championship just over two weeks away, could DeChambeau fall victim at the PGA Championship again and pack his bags early in his pursuit for more distance?

For golf fans, it’s very exciting to see him “unleash the kraken” as he likes to say and bomb drives, but is it worth betting on him to hit it even further off the tee this season? Read on for the best bets and value picks for DeChambeau the rest of the PGA Tour season.

DeChambeau in Driver’s Seat to Win Long Distance Crown

Bryson is clobbering drives with relative ease, smashing tee shots on average 323.8 yards per, good for first on the PGA Tour. There’s really only one legit challenger to his crown, and that’s Cameron Champ who averages 321.7 yards per pop.

The next closest pursuer is a whopping nine yards behind Bryson, so it’s pretty well a two-man battle. Cameron Champ does pose a significant threat, but Bryson is determined to smash more and more drives longer and will be able to during the hot summer months which allows the ball to travel further.

Pick: Bryson DeChambeau finishes first in driving distance (-1000)

Bryson to Make Remaining Cuts a Juicy Bet

The ‘Mad Scientist’ didn’t play the weekend for just the second time in his last 16 official PGA Tour events when he made a mess of the 15th hole at the Memorial Tournament. Before that he’d racked up seven straight top-eight finishes.

This bet stipulates that it’s in official PGA Tour events until the end of December 2020. Without knowing for certain what his schedule looks like, we can probably assume it’ll be approximately nine more events.

The WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational, PGA Championship, US Open, Masters and the three playoff events are all locks, with probably at least two more ‘regular’ tournaments.

With the WGC and two of the playoff events not including any cuts in the tournament, get a bit greedy here and risk that Bryson’s blip at Muirfield Village won’t be repeated.

Pick: Bryson DeChambeau doesn’t miss another cut in 2020 (+550)

Poised to Gain Even More Distance

At first blush seeing a bet about whether Bryson will add 24 more yards in distance seems preposterous. However, it’s 24 more yards off the tee based off his 2019 number, which was 302.5 yards. This season, he’s already hitting it 20.5 yards further.

Can he squeeze out that extra 3.5 yards to win this bet? It’s not an insane ask, especially as he’s averaged 25 and 15 yards over that the last two events.

Pick: Bryson DeChambeau increases distance by over 24 yards (-120)

Someone Will Make Another Crooked Score

Following DeChambeau’s meltdown on the 15th hole at the Memorial Tournament that resulted in a quintuple bogey, 10, you can bet on whether a top-10 player in the world will make another 10 at some point in 2020.

With three majors left during the season, I’d be inclined to wager on a top-10 player making a 10 in just those three events alone, plus you get the added benefit of several more tournaments in 2020.

Pick: Top 10 golfer records another 10 in 2020 (+800)
