LG seeks its fifth straight win Friday when they take on Doosan, as five new series begin at 5:30 am EST.

Twins Playing Terrific Ball

The Twins have scored 35 runs during their four-game winning streak and are 8-2 in their last 10. They’re now the second highest scoring team in the KBO (behind NC) and boast the best team ERA (4.08).

Friday they’ll send Opening Day starter Woo Chan Cha to the mound, who’s surrendered just four runs in his last 19 innings. He previously faced the Bears back in early May and stymied them over 6 innings. He allowed just three hits and one run, while striking out 7 in an 8-2 win.

Doosan will counter with Young Ha Lee, who gave up seven runs last time out and has surrendered five or more runs in three of seven outings.

Pick: LG Twins moneyline (-118)

Lions are a Live ‘Dog

The Samsung Lions have won three straight series and on Friday will send red-hot David Buchanan to the mound versus the KIA Tigers.

The right-hander has won each of his last four starts, allowing just three runs in the process. Last time out, he tossed 6.2 innings versus KT Wiz in a 5-3 victory, and has also shut down Doosan and NC during his hot run.

KIA will give the ball to Drew Gagnon, whose scheduled start was rained out Thursday, and as we detailed yesterday, has been incredibly inconsistent. He’s already faced Samsung once this year and the result for him wasn’t pretty. Gagnon surrendered four runs in 5 innings, en route to a 5-0 defeat.

Pick: Samsung Lions moneyline (+120)

Can NC Finally Play a Low-Scoring Game?

It’s been tough sledding betting unders in NC Dinos games lately, as 15 of their past 16 outings have produced a double-digit total. Friday’s over/under versus bottom-feeder Hanwha currently sits at 10, and with Chang Mo Koo on the mound for NC, the Dinos offense will need a major output for this game to go over.

Koo has allowed just four earned runs total in seven starts this season, and the Eagles’ last-place offense is virtually drawing dead to score more than once versus the KBO’s reigning player of the month.

Hanwha scored just six runs in a previous three-game series with NC earlier this season, and has been held to three runs or fewer in 12 of its last 16. The Dinos’ bats can certainly score enough to make this game go over, but expecting eight or more runs is asking a lot.

Pick: Under 10.0 (-105)
