  • The Los Angeles Dodgers (54-26) have the best record in baseball
  • They are leading the NL West by 12 games over the Colorado Rockies
  • Hyun-Jin Ryu and Cody Bellinger could both collect individual awards for their performances so far this season

Three things in life seem to be guaranteed: death, taxes, and the Los Angeles Dodgers winning baseball games.

2019 World Series Odds

Team Odds
Los Angeles Dodgers +250
New York Yankees +365
Houston Astros +400
Minnesota Twins +750
Atlanta Braves +800
Chicago Cubs +1400
Boston Red Sox +1800
Tampa Bay Rays +1800
Milwaukee Brewers +2000

*Odds taken 06/25/19.

The Dodgers are an absolute juggernaut and their World Series Odds just keep on getting shorter. That said, the fact you can still get them at +250 should be seen as big time value.

All Other Title Threats Play in the AL

Look at all the best teams in baseball outside of the Dodgers. The New York Yankees, Houston Astros, Minnesota Twins, and defending champion Boston Red Sox are all in the American League. The Braves are a nice story, and the Cubs seem to have left last year in the rear view mirror, but neither of those teams is a true threat to knock off the Dodgers.

If you’re with me and believe Los Angeles will win the NL, getting them at +250 to win the World Series all of a sudden seems like a pretty good play now doesn’t it?

Stats Confirm Dodgers Are the Best of the Best

Pick a stat and the Dodgers are either leading that category of real close. They have a +130 run differential which ranks first. Their 54 wins is also first, as is their 34-9 home record. They’ve used these stats to build an incredible 12 game lead in the NL West and we aren’t even at the half way point of the season yet.

Individually the Dodgers are getting some incredible performances. Cody Bellinger is playing like an MVP at the plate and owns a .353 average, which is by far the best in baseball. On the mound it hasn’t been Clayton Kershaw leading the way, but rather Hyun-Jin Ryu. His nine wins are tied for first in the National League and his 1.27 ERA is not only first, it’s better than second place by more than a run.

Dodgers the Best Bet to Win it All

The Dodgers are an obvious choice when you pair their dominance with the fact they have the easiest path to the World Series of any of the contenders on the board. Take advantage of their odds now before they get any shorter.

Pick: Los Angeles Dodgers (+250)
