Giolito has allowed just five hits and one earned run in eight innings of work. He missed two starts after feeling a tweak in his lower left abdominal area on three straight pitches in the opening day game against the Detroit Tigers on April 9.

Following a stint on the IL, Giolito returned to action April 24. He worked another four innings and threw 76 pitches in a start against the Minnesota Twins. He’s struck out 15 while walking just five over his eight innings of work.
