After an off day Sunday, the World Series resumes on Halloween night. Houston squared the best-of-7 series on Saturday night with a dominating effort, but now the scene shifts to Philadelphia where the Phillies have been mashing all postseason.
Philly has outscored their opponents 35-15, while amassing a 5-0 record. Bryce Harper, who leads the team with a .392 average and 1.230 OPS during the playoffs, has a hit in every home postseason game so far, and will be our first target in the Astros vs Phillies player props.

Harper currently boasts -210 odds to record a hit, which may seem short, but it’s a longer price than four of Houston’s batters.

World Series Prop #1: Bryce Harper 1+ Hits
Last year’s NL MVP is 9-for-23 at home in the playoffs, with three home runs and nine RBI. Prior to Saturday, he’d recorded at least one hit in 11 straight starts, and it’s highly unlikely he goes hitless in back-to-back outings.

Harper crushed right handed pitching this season, to the tune of of a .300/.371/.553 slash line, and has one hit in three career at-bats versus Game 3 starter Lance McCullers Jr.
He’s also one of the most clutch hitters in the league, batting .354 with runners in scoring position with a 1.182 OPS. The price is short, but it’s arguably the safest bet on the board.
Pick: Bryce Harper 1+ Hits (-210), 2 units
World Series Prop #2: Lance McCullers Jr. Over 5.5 K’s
Next up, is the over on McCullers Jr’s strikeout prop. We successfully targeted Framber Valdez at this exact same number in Game 2, and he cleared it by the 4th inning. Valdez finished with nine strikeouts, while Philly batters whiffed 11 times total in Game 2.

McCullers has struck out at least six batters in six of his past seven starts, including both postseason outings. He’s faced the hitters in the Phillies lineup 56 times, recording 18 strikeouts for a 32.1% K rate. If he comes anywhere close to that number on Monday, he’ll sail over this total.
Pick: Lance McCullers Jr. Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-118), 1 unit
World Series Prop #3: Yordan Alvarez 1+ Home Runs
We’ve been waiting for another monster Yordan Alvarez game since he put up two straight in Games 1 and 2 of the ALDS. After a prolonged dry spell that lasted the rest of that series and the start of the ALCS, Alvarez appears to be heating up.
He’s smacked three hits in his last three games, including two extra-base hits. Alvarez has six extra-base hits in five games against Philadelphia in 2022, and while he’s yet to go deep, it’s only a matter of time.

The Astros slugger ranked sixth in MLB in home runs this season and second in OPS. As a left-handed batter, he manages to hit lefties just as hard as righties, making him matchup proof once the Philly relievers enter the game.
We successfully targeted Alex Bregman to smack a dinger in Game 2, and it’s Alvarez’s turn to pay us off on Monday.
Pick: Yordan Alvarez 1+ Home Runs (+300), 0.5 units
