It’s another NL West showdown on Saturday, September 17th as the Los Angeles Dodgers (99-44, 50-26 away) visit the San Francisco Giants (69-75, 39-34 home). The first-pitch is scheduled for 9:05 PM ET at Oracle Park.
LA will go with Julio Urias on the mound here. The Giants have yet to announce who will start for them.

San Francisco Giants | +275 | +1.5 (+170) | Un 7.5 (-105) |

Dodgers vs Giants Probable Pitchers
Urias has been tremendous for the Dodgers in 2022, serving as one of their most reliable arms. The talented lefty is 16-7 with a 2.30 ERA in 27 starts, striking out 144 in 152.2 innings while walking just 36 batters. He’s truly got swing-and-miss stuff.

Right now, Urias is enjoying an impressive run. He hasn’t allowed more than two runs in 10 consecutive outings. Last time out, the Mexican tossed seven quality innings against the Padres, surrendering just two earned and striking out five. Even better, he owns a 0.75 ERA in four outings vs San Francisco in 2022. The definition of dominant.
The Giants rotation is ravaged by injuries right now, which is why they’ve yet to say who will start on Saturday. Looking at the arms available though, it’s likely Gabe Kapler opts to go with an opener as he did on September 11th when John Brebbia got things started. He’s made 67 total appearances but just five starts, compiling a 2.83 ERA and 6-1 record.
John Brebbia worked around two very soft hits to hold a three-run lead. That was his 67th appearance, a career-high and the most in the Majors. The Giants have a lot of bullpen changes to make, but he's a keeper.

Brebbia rarely pitched more than one inning, therefore if he does get the ball here, it’ll be a full bullpen game after he exits. Not ideal for San Francisco, but perhaps it could keep the Dodgers off-balanced.
Dodgers Looking Like a World Series Favorite
Yes, we’ve heard it countless times before, but LA truly looks like a favorite to win the Fall Classic. They currently have the best World Series odds at +315 just above the Houston Astros. The Dodgers own the best record in the Majors at 98-44 and as previously mentioned, already clinched the division.

Friday was a convincing 5-0 victory over the struggling Giants as Dustin May no-hit them for five innings. Offensively, Freddie Freeman and Justin Turner registered two hits apiece.
Miserable Campaign For San Francisco
After winning the NL West last year, it’s been a whole different story this time around. The Giants are now 30 games behind the Dodgers in the division, which is just a glimpse into how disappointing 2022 is for them.

Friday was a prime example of their offensive woes, failing to score a single run. The Giants are hitting just .232 as a team, which is 23rd in the big leagues. They managed to collect a mere two hits in the contest, too. Needless to say, very disappointing.
LAD vs SF – Last 10 Games

09/07/22 | Dodgers | Giants | LAD, 7-3 |
09/06/22 | Dodgers | Giants | LAD, 6-3 |
09/05/22 | Dodgers | Giants | SF, 7-4 |
08/04/22 | Giants | Dodgers | LAD, 5-3 |
08/03/22 | Giants | Dodgers | LAD, 3-0 |
08/02/22 | Giants | Dodgers | LAD, 9-5 |

07/24/22 | Dodgers | Giants | LAD, 7-4 |
07/23/22 | Dodgers | Giants | LAD, 4-2 |
Dodgers vs Giants Pick
This is a no-brainer pick here. The Dodgers are having their way with the Giants this year and I don’t see it changing on Saturday, especially given Urias’s mind-boggling ERA against San Fran. Take LA to cover.
Pick: Dodgers runline -1.5 (-205)
