Bellator lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov returns to the cage to take on former UFC champion Benson Henderson in the quarter-final of the $1 million dollar Bellator Lightweight World Grand Prix. Usman Nurmagomedov has to be itching to get back into the Bellator cage.
Bellator’s lightweight champion has been flawless with the promotion so far, going 5-0 and looking like the future face of MMA. Nurmagomedov, the cousin of former UFC great Khabib, has finished three of his Bellator fights and has clearly been the better fighter every time he’s set foot in the cage.
Apparently sportsbooks agree, as Nurmagomedov has been installed as a huge -2100 favorite over former UFC champion Benson Henderson.

On the other side of the cage, Benson Henderson will be aiming to pull off the upset of the year.
The 39-year old hasn’t looked as “Smooth” lately. However, Henderson has won two straight fights after going through the first three-fight losing streak of his career.

While Henderson presents an interesting challenge, Nurmagomedov is on his way to superstardom.

Musayev vs Shabliy Odds & Predictions
After crossing over from Rizin Fighting Federation just last year, fans have yet to see much of Tofiq Musayev in the Bellator cage. Musayev destroyed Sidney Outlaw with a nasty right hook just 27 seconds into his Bellator debut.
On the other side of the cage, Russian-born fighter Alexander Shabliy enters the Bellator 292 cage on a 7-fight win streak. Shabliy is an extremely dangerous fighter, finishing 18 fights in 22 career wins. He’ll aim to add to those totals on Friday night.
The Bellator 292 co-main event is sure to be a violent high-level contest. Each of these men is more than capable of leaving the other knocked out on the canvas at any point. However, with this being a five-round contest to decide who moves on in the Bellator Lightweight World Grand Prix, the experience of Alexander Shabliy will shine through.
