Does The Winner Earn a UFC Deal?

Andre Petroski against Aaron Jeffrey is a fantastic matchup where the winner could very well earn a UFC deal or be in the conversation to be on Contender Series next summer.

Petroski & Jeffrey Recent Fights

Petroski

Jeffrey
Andre Hall, win by TKO Fight 1 Bruno Assis, win by TKO
Shedrick Goodridge, win by TKO Fight 2 Dennis Olson, win by TKO
Jesse James, win by submission Fight 3 Brendan Allen, loss by submission
Ryan Parker, win by submission Fight 4 Jo Valle, win by TKO

This is a big step up in competition for Andre Petroski as Aaron Jeffrey could already be in the UFC as the only two losses of his career are against UFC contenders in Sean Brady and Brendan Allen, who both are poised to break into the top-15 with another win.

For Jeffrey, this is a great spot for him to be in as he headlines an LFA show, which has become a UFC feeder league. That being said, a win here could get him a UFC deal.

In the fight, I expect Jeffrey to use his composure to be patient just flicking his jab out and piecing up Petroski. Eventually, Petroski will shoot for a takedown, which the Canadian will stuff and start landing heavy ground and pound shots.

I like Jeffrey to win this fight by KO/TKO in the first or second round and likely either get a UFC deal or even be on one of the final three episodes of the Contender Series in November.

-270 is also a very fair price to pay for him as in my opinion he should be at least a -350 favorite.

Pick: Aaron Jeffrey (-270)

Can Hughes Rebound After Loss In LFA Title Fight?

Sam Hughes lost by submission in July for the vacant LFA strawweight title which would have likely landed her in the UFC or Bellator and she will now look to rebound.

Hughes & Hindley Recent Fights

Hughes
VS
Hindley
Vanessa Demopoulos, loss by submission Fight 1 Brianna Smith, win by submission
Lisa Mauldin, win by decision Fight 2 Alyssa Krahn, loss by submission
Bethany Christensen, win by submission Fight 3 Vanessa Marie Grimes, win by submission
Loren Benjar, win by TKO Fight 4 Sheena Bradenburg, win by submission

When two grapplers fight, it normally turns into a kickboxing fight as neither of them can get the other person down nor do they want to, and I expect the same here. I don’t see either girl being able to get a takedown. On the feet, Hughes is the much more technical and more powerful striker.

Hughes will also have the cardio advantage as she will be the more active striker and outpoint Hindley to get a decision win.

Pick: Sam Hughes (-285)

Other LFA 93 Picks:

  • Antonio Jones (+135): Jones is on a two-fight losing streak but lost to Edmen Shahbazyan on the Contender Series and Will Fleury in Bellator. This is a good step back in competition for Jones to win by decision.
  • Elijah Johns (-305): Johns is one of the top unsigned lightweight prospects. I expect him to get a TKO win and either get a DWCS deal or a UFC contract at some point in the near future.
  • Carlos Hernandez (-200): Hernandez is better everywhere and will get a submission or ground and pound TKO win.
  • Joshua DaSilveira (-450): DaSilveira will get this fight to the mat early and get a first-round submission win.
