Brock Lesnar may very well be the biggest MMA free agent on the market despite not competing in MMA since 2016.

Lesnar has been competing in WWE but recently it was reported his contract has expired and he is a free agent. Immediately, Jon Jones called the former UFC heavyweight champion out on Twitter. Bellator President, Scott Coker said he would be interested in signing Lesnar to finally make the Fedor Emelianenko fight.

Now, odds have been released on potential fights between Brock Lesnar and Emelinaneko and Jones.

Lesnar vs Emelianenko & Lesnar vs Jones Opening Odds

Fighter Odds
Brock Lesnar -135
Fedor Emelianenko +105
Fighter Odds
Brock Lesnar +265
Jon Jones -350

Will Lesnar Return to MMA?

Brock Lesnar returning to MMA has been a topic MMA fans have been calling for, for years now.

After Daniel Cormier beat Stipe Miocic at UFC 226 to win the heavyweight title, Lesnar went into the Octagon and shoved Cormier. Immediately, it piqued the fan’s interest, but unfortunately, Lesnar and the UFC could not come to an agreement on a deal. Following that, he returned to WWE, and many thought that would be the last chance he would compete in MMA.

On Monday it was announced he was a free agent and there is no question the UFC and Bellator will see what he costs. Yet, I don’t see him signing in MMA as he has always hinted at a return to get more money from the WWE and I expect the same to happen here.

Should Lesnar be Favored Over Fedor?

Absolutely not.

Look, Brock Lesnar had success early into his MMA career but he is 0-2 with one no-contest in his last three MMA fights. The no-contest was a win over Mark Hunt but was overturned after he failed a drug test. Fedor Emelianenko, although is past his prime, has shown he can still beat legends like him, as evidence by the Rampage Jackson, Chael Sonnen, and Frank Mir wins.

When Lesnar was the UFC champion and Emelianenko was dominating in PRIDE, Dana White wanted to make the fight, but it couldn’t come to fruition. So, there is a history there that perhaps Lesnar wants to make the fight happen. If it does, Emelianenko should be favored and at plus-money, it is a great bet.

Pick: Fedor Emelianenko (+105)

Would a Lesnar-Jones Fight be Competitive?

Brock Lesnar would be a great opponent for Jon Jones to make his heavyweight debut.

Jones recently vacated the light heavyweight title and said he would be moving up to heavyweight. Although he wants to fight Stipe Miocic for the belt, all signs point to Francis Ngannou getting the next shot. So, that leaves Jones without an opponent, but if Lesnar signs with the UFC, him vs. Jones would be a massive fight. The pair have also traded shots at one another in the past, so the timing is perfect to finally book the fight.

If it does happen, there is no question Lesnar will be the bigger and stronger fighter. Yet, I can’t see him being able to take Jones down, and eventually “Bones” would gas Lesnar out and get a TKO win. I also think -350 is a fair line for Jones.

Pick: Jon Jones (-350)
