It’s a busy Monday in the NBA, with nine games on the go.

There are two marquee matchups, including white-hot Steph Curry and the Warriors in Philadelphia to battle dominant big man Joel Embiid and the 76ers. And the Milwaukee Bucks will host the Phoenix Suns, trying to track down the Utah Jazz for the top seed in the West.

Speaking of those Jazz, they’ll be in LA for the second of a mini-set with the Lakers, trying to salvage a split, while the Chicago Bulls try to move up the East as they meet the surging Boston Celtics.

NBA Injury News – April 19th

  • [5:50pm EST] George Hill is likely to make his debut for the 76ers vs the Warriors, according to Doc Rivers 
  • [5:45pm EST] Kevin Durant is out due to thigh contusion on Tuesday vs the Pelicans. Nic Claxton is also out for the Nets.
  • Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell will not play against Lakers with an ankle injury
  • Bulls guard Zach LaVine is expected to be out until April 26 due to COVID-related protocols
  • Both Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are listed as game-time decisions

The Pistons will be without Sekou Doumbouya, who has a neck injury, while Dennis Smith Jr is out with a knee injury. Cory Jospeh (illness) will not be suiting up, and Mason Plumlee and Wayne Ellington are both getting the night off for rest.

On the Cavs’ side, Larry Nance Jr is out for Monday due to personal reasons.

The injuries are piling up for the Celtics, who won’t have Evan Fournier (health and safety protocols) and big man Robert Williams III (knee). Kemba Walker (non-COVID illness) is questionable, while all-stars Jaylen Brown (non-COVID illness) and red-hot Jayson Tatum (ankle) are listed as game-time decisions.

The Bulls big minus is all-star Zach LaVine, who is out due to health and safety protocols related to COVID.

Steph Curry is listed as day-to-day after tweaking his ankle in Golden State’s loss to Boston, but he should be in the lineup. The Warriors will be without forwards Eric Paschall (hip) and Kelly Oubre Jr, who has a wrist injury.

76ers starters Tobias Harris (knee) and Seth Curry (hip) as both day-to-day, so keep an eye on their status. Dwight Howard is also day-to-day with a knee injury, while George Hill has yet to play since being acquired at the trade deadline, and there is no timetable for his return from a thumb injury.

NBA shot-block leader Myles Turner returned to the Pacers’ lineup last game out, so their only injury concern is reserve Doug McDermott, who is questionable dealing with an ankle injury. For the Spurs, reserve Trey Lyles is out with a right ankle sprain.

Jimmy Butler sat out Miami’s win over the Nets Sunday, and he’s still questionable Monday against the Rockets as he deals with an ankle injury. There is still no timetable for return for Victor Oladipo, who’s dealing with a knee injury.

As for the Rockets, Eric Gordon is out with a groin injury, and Danuel House is out with a concussion.

For the Wizards, forward Rui Hachimura is out with a knee injury. Alex Len is questionable with ankle soreness, but is still expected to start this one.
