It’s do or die for the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night as they hit the road for a must-win Game 5 against the No. 1 seed Miami Heat. The tip-off is scheduled for 7pm ET at the FTX Arena in South Beach.

Miami pummeled the Hawks in Game 4 on Sunday at State Farm Arena, blowing them out by a score of 110-86. Kyle Lowry is unavailable here again due to a hamstring injury, while Jimmy Butler is also out with knee inflammation.

Hawks Betting Outlook

Aside from a thrilling Game 3 win on their home floor, the Hawks are struggling immensely against one of the best two-way teams in the playoffs. The glaring concern is how poorly Trae Young has played because of Miami’s stifling defense.

The star guard is averaging just 16.5 points, six assists, and 4.3 rebounds in four outings while shooting a putrid 21% from beyond the arc.

Sunday’s loss was another struggle for Ice Trae, posting a measly nine points in 35 minutes of action. The Heat’s number one goal coming into the series was to contain Young and needless to say, they’re succeeding.

Without him firing on all cylinders from a scoring and playmaking standpoint, Atlanta honestly doesn’t stand a chance. De’Andre Hunter dropped a team-high 24 points in Game 4, but aside from him, it was a rather dismal showing.

To be frank, the Hawks were simply overmatched. Miami outscored them 48-26 in the paint and 26-10 on second-chance points. Nate McMillan’s squad showed zero fight and with their season on the line heading into Tuesday, they must dig deep.

Heat Betting Outlook

Miami was always considered a heavy favorite in this first round against Atlanta and they’re fully living up to expectations. Jimmy Butler is leading the charge and showing out in a big way so far, averaging 30.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 5.3 dimes on a 43% clip from deep.

He even erupted for 45 in Game 2 before collecting 36 points on Sunday night in ATL. However, the likes Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, and Bam Adebayo will need to step up in his absence in Game 5.

Like they’ve done all season though, the Heat are playing as a collective unit. Their entire starting five finished in double-figures in Game 4, with PJ Tucker and Bam both scoring 14 points apiece.

Erik Spoelstra’s group struggled from downtown, shooting just 31% but instead, took it upon themselves to take advantage of the Hawks’ lackluster interior defense, scoring 48 points inside.

Miami now has the chance to close this thing out at home on Tuesday and as long as they can keep Trae quiet, all signs point to them booking their spot in the second round within the next 24 hours. Tucker is listed as questionable but he’s expected to suit up and serve as one of several defensive cogs who will limit Young.

Hawks vs Heat Prediction

I honestly have no doubt the Heat will get it done on Tuesday. The Hawks are just not at the level of Miami on both ends of the floor and Trae is providing no answers to the terrific defense he’s facing. Without Butler and Lowry though, the moneyline is likely the best bet because it could end up being close.

Pick: Heat moneyline -168
