Of late,  the New York Knicks (42-31, 40-30-3 ATS) are having their way with the Miami Heat (39-34, 26-44-3 ATS).

New York has won three in a row straight up from the Heat, including both meetings this season. As well, the Knicks are 2-0 SU in their last two visits to Miami. New York is also 3-0 against the spread in the last three games against Miami.

Despite so many indications working in favor of the Knicks, it’s the Heat that oddsmakers are liking in this game. Miami is set as  1.5-point home favorite. Miami is just 3-9 ATS over the past 12 home games.

The Heat and Knicks are co-13th betting choices in the NBA championship odds at +7500. Oddsmakers are setting Miami with a betting line of +525 to be making the NBA playoffs.

Knicks vs Heat Betting Trends

The people are liking the Knicks to cover but they aren’t as sold on the idea that New York will be winning the game. In the NBA public betting splits, there’s 66% of handle and 54% of bets. However, in the moneyline splits, handle is divided 50-50. But 63% of bettors are going with New York.

No action is yet registered on the total of 220 points. Miami has gone under in each of the last two games, but the Heat are 4-2 on the total through the past six games. The under has hit in five of New York’s last seven games. In the previous three Miami vs New York games, the total is showing a 1-1-1 slate.

New York vs Miami Injury Report

Though listed as questionable due to a knee injury, Heat point guard Kyle Lowry is expected to play and be part of the NBA starting lineups. Miami center Cody Zeller (nose) is out. He’ll miss his fifth straight game. Heat small forward Caleb Martin is listed as questionable with left knee soreness.

The Knicks are missing PG Duane Washington Jr (hip). Guard Trevor Keels (concussion) is day-to-day.

Despite an astonishing 57-point performance from Julius Randle, the third-highest single-game output in franchise history, the Knicks were 140-134 losers at home to the Minnesota Timberwolves in their last game. It halted New York’s three-game winning streak.

Fifth seed in the East, the Knicks are sitting three games behind #4 Cleveland and three ahead of #7 Miami and a spot in the play-in tourney.  With nine games to play,  a victory in this game would be giving the Heat a realistic chance of catching the Knicks. These two teams will be meeting again on March 29.

Both Miami and New York are winners of three of their last four games and are 6-4 through their past 10 games. Along with New York’s recent team success against the Heat, Randle did score 43 points on his last visit to Miami.
