Odds as of February 28th at FanDuel Sportsbook

While there’s no player props listed as of publish time for LAL, they are four-point underdogs in the Mavericks vs Lakers odds, and will likely need a huge LeBron outing to stop their current skid.

Luka Lights Up the Lakers

Doncic and the Mavericks are playing very good basketball right now and are shaping up to be a dark horse in the West NBA Playoff bracket. Luka is also showing out and looking a lot more agile after dropping weight, averaging 27.6 points, 9.2 boards, and 8.9 assists.

The Slovenian is coming off a big 34-point performance against the Warriors as Dallas made a heroic fourth-quarter comeback to shock Steph Curry and Co. at home.

In fact, Doncic has hit the over in points in five of his last seven games. Three of those outings he erupted for 45+ as well. Luka is extremely hard to stop and you saw just that on Sunday night in the Bay Area. The Dubs are the best defensive team in the league and even they couldn’t contain the 23-year-old. Now, the Mavs face a Lakers team who are the exact opposite. LA’s defense is extremely poor. All signs point to Doncic enjoying another big night on the West Coast.

  • Pick: Luka Doncic Over 31.5 Points (-112)

Tatum Gets Hot From Long Range

Jayson Tatum is enjoying another fantastic campaign for the Celtics and is one of the main catalysts behind their recent surge up the Eastern Conference standings. One area where Tatum tries to do a lot of his damage is from three-point land. While he’s only shooting 33% from beyond the arc, the All-Star is taking a career-high 8.7 attempts per night.

Also, last time out, Tatum attempted 12 triples, but only two found net. Nevertheless, he has hit the over in triples in four of his previous six outings, which is certainly a positive heading into Tuesday’s matchup with Atlanta.

The 23-year-old might’ve had an off night on Sunday from a shooting standpoint, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t going to try and find his stroke again. The Hawks are rather poor at defending the three-ball as well, with opponents shooting 36%. This is worth a bet, especially at +140.

  • Pick: Jayson Tatum Over 3.5 Three-Pointers (+140)
