Buffalo Betting Outlook

The guard duo of sophomore Curtis Jones and junior Zid Powell has been performing well in several statistical categories for Buffalo.

Jones leads the Bulls in scoring with an average of 16.1 points a game and has averages of 5.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 2.0 steals. He is third in the Mid-American Conference in steals and fourth in field goal percentage with a 47.4% mark.

Powell is averaging 14.1 points. 4.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.8 steals.

They are the only two Buffalo players scoring in double figure, though junior forward Isaiah Adams is right behind at 9.6.

Freshman guard Devin Caesars scored 17 points in just 11 minutes off the bench to lead Buffalo over St. John Fisher. He was 7-of-11 from the field, including 3-of-6 on three-pointers, and had four steals.

Powell finished with 14 points and three assists, Adams added 12 points and senior forward LaQuill Hardnett contributed 11 points and six rebounds.

Buffalo held St. John Fisher to 32.8% (19-of-58) shooting and forced 25 turnovers. However, the Bulls are allowing 74.4 points a game, which is 304th among the 363 Division I teams.

Buffalo is 5-2-1 against the spread.

Tulane Betting Outlook

Conversely, Tulane has not been kind to its backers this season. The Green Wave have a 1-7 ATS record.

Sophomore guard Jalen Cook has been limited to three games this season but is scoring 20.7 points and pulling down 5.3 rebounds a game.

Junior guard Jaylen Forbes (17.6) and junior forward Kevin Cross (17.5) are fourth and fifth in the American Athletic Conference in scoring.

Forbes is second in the conference in steals with 2.5 a game and averaging 4.9 rebounds. Cross’ 55.3% shooting percentage is second in the AAC, and he also has averages of 17.5 points and 6.4 rebounds.

Cook has not played in enough games to qualify for the conference leaders.

Junior forward Collin Holloway is scoring at a 12.7-points-a-game clip after transferring from Georgetown.

Sophomore guard Sion James is filling up the stat sheet with 10.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.8 steals a game. His assists are fifth-most in the conference.

In the loss to Fordham, Cook had 25 points and five assists and Cross finished with 25 points and three helpers. Forbes and sophomore Tylan Pope added 15 points apiece for Tulane, which had 15 turnovers.

The Green Wave are eighth in the nation in free throw shooting with an 80.8% mark. However, they are 333rd in three-point defense at 37.6%.

Buffalo vs Tulane Prediction

The teams haven’t played since the 2007-08 season when Buffalo won 65-51 at home. Look for this game to be closer than the 7.5-point spread. In fact, the hot Bulls are the tempting play at such a high moneyline.

Pick: Buffalo +270 (ML)

Season record: 13-7 (+5.3 units) ATS, 0-2 (-2.1 units) ML
