Tip-off is set for 1:00 pm ET on Sunday, March 12th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. The game is being carried by CBS. The Rams are tabbed as the -130 favorite to win their conference tourney finale against the Flyers.

Dayton Flyers Betting Analysis

Dayton took care of Fordham on Saturday, converting a three-point halftime lead into a ten-point triumph. Fordham led all of NCAA Division I hoops in most wins after trailing at halftime this season, so it was far from a certainty that the Flyers would advance. Toumani Camara had 28 points and Daron Holmes scored 20. With just over six minutes left on the clock, Dayton went on a 13-4 run to ensure they’d be the ones advancing.

The Flyers are searching for their first A-10 title since way back in 2003. Since then, they’ve lost three finals appearances (2004, 2011, 2015). They’ve dropped five of their last seven against VCU, but have taken two of the last three. This year, they lost 63-62 on January 13th, but returned the favor 62-58 on February 7th.

VCU Rams Betting Analysis

The top seeded VCU Rams were outstanding on Saturday, taking a lead with just over 15 minutes left against the Billikens and never looking back. Jayden Nunn led the team with 18 points, as he was one of five Rams to record double digit points. In their eight-game winning streak, all but two of their games have been double-digit victories. The loss that preceded their run was to Dayton last month.

Though they lost won the A-10 championship in 2015, VCU has been snake bitten a number of finals appearances in the last decade. They’ve dropped the last game on five occasions, in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2021.

Dayton vs VCU Barbara Prediction

VCU comes in as the hotter squad, and they’ve won five of their last seven meetings against their counterparts. Dayton has a pair of four and five point defeats to go along with three wins in their last five.

Five of Dayton’s last six duels have resulted in over 125.5 total points. Six of the Rams’ last seven times hitting the court, their games have featured a total over the listed 125.5 as well. That would seem to point to the over hitting – however, in both tilts this year, under 125.5 points has been accumulated, and that’s been the case in three of the last four times these two teams have met up.

Pick: VCU Rams Moneyline (-130), Under 125.5 points (-110)
