  • The 2022 college football season features a loaded Week 1 slate on Saturday, September 3rd
  • There are several parlays and teasers worth adding to your card
  • Read below for college football parlays and teaser bets for Week 1

The 2022 college football season has officially kicked off with Week 1, and Saturday features the largest slate yet. Many of the top teams will be in action on a day loaded with betting value.

Parlay and teaser betting can be a fun way to try and secure a bigger profit from the sportsbooks. By grouping multiple bets together and taking advantage of parlay bonuses, bettors can increase the potential payouts on their returns.

Let’s take a look at our favorite college football parlays and teaser bets for Week 1.

College Football Week 1 Parlays (Spread)

Playing underdogs is typically a smart strategy in Week 1 due to inflated lines. Sportsbooks know the average bettor is going to want to slam their team to cover in Week 1, which means the spread for popular teams is often higher than it should be.

Ohio State being a 17.5-point favorite over Notre Dame is a prime example of an inflated line. Sure it’s possible the Buckeyes blow out the Irish, but the initial look-ahead line for this game only had OSU around a 10-point favorite.

Georgia (-17.5) vs Oregon is another inflated Week 1 line due to the public wanting to back the defending National champs. The Ducks have a rock-solid defense headlined by Noah Sewell, Brandon Dorlus, and Bennett Williams that could give Stetson Bennett trouble.

Parlaying Notre Dame and Oregon together on the moneyline at DraftKings gives insane +4456 odds. It’s hard to see both favorites losing straight up, however, so parlaying the two underdog spreads still gives decent +264 odds at DraftKings.

  • Parlay Bet: Notre Dame +17.5 and Oregon +17 (+264)

College Football Week 1 Parlays (Moneyline)

Underdog moneyline parlays are one of the best ways to secure a massive profit on Saturday. There’s typically already value with certain underdogs in the college football odds, so if you find the right ones to group together, you could hit the jackpot.

When it comes to Saturday, September 3rd, there’s a good two-team underdog parlay worth betting. Boise State (+120) and Nevada (+100) are both moneyline underdogs in games where the line should basically be even.

The Broncos are facing an Oregon State defense that got torched for 244 yards per game in the secondary last season. Hank Bachmeier returns at QB for Boise State, while the BSU defense returns most of its weapons from the unit that led the Mountain West in 2021.

Nevada, meanwhile, faces Texas State in Week 1 after taking down New Mexico State by a 23-12 score in Week 0. The Wolfpack have a feisty defense that came up with three picks last weekend, while also boasting a strong run game led by Toa Taua.

Nevada is 9-1 in its last 10 home games, while Boise State is 8-2-0 in its past 10 road games. Grouping these two value underdogs into a two-pick parlay on DraftKings gives +330 odds. A 10$ wager on this Boise State and Nevada parlay would payout $43 if it cashes.

  • Parlay Bet: Boise State +120 and Nevada +100 (+330)

College Football Week 1 Teasers

When it comes to college football Week 1 teasers, there are two teams that are worth grouping together in a teaser parlay. Army (+2) and North Carolina (+1.5) are both dangerous underdogs in their respective matchups vs Coastal Carolina and Appalachian State.

By teasing both the Black Knights and the Tar Heels by six points, we can get these underdogs at key numbers at plus-money value. We want to tease Army to +8 and North Carolina to +7.5. This can be done by betting the alternative spread at DraftKings and putting the bets into a two-pick parlay.

Army has one of the best rushing attacks in FBS and will exploit a Coastal Carolina linebacker group that is breaking in a bunch of new pieces. The Black Knights’ defense, meanwhile, is full of experience, including All-American linebacker Andre Carter.

The North Carolina vs App State matchup features a similar situation, with the Mountaineers having lost five of their top seven tacklers from 2021. App State QB Chase Brice has also thrown 27 picks over the last two years and will struggle against North Carolina’s improved defense.

These two underdogs are very capable of winning their games on Saturday, but teasing the spreads at plus-money is the safer way to play. Army and North Carolina can both lose by a touchdown Saturday and the bet will still cash.

  • Teaser Bet: Army +8 & North Carolina +7.5 (+105)
