Two teams looking to bounce back from losses will meet in a crucial Big 12 matchup on Saturday, November 5th as the Oklahoma State Cowboys visit the Kansas Jayhawks in Lawrence. The kick-off is scheduled for 3:30 PM ET. Read on for the Oklahoma State vs Kansas prediction.
The Cowboys were absolutely destroyed last weekend, losing 48-0 to the Kansas State Wildcats. That dropped them to 3-2 in conference play. As for the Jayhawks, they’re on a brutal three-game losing streak after starting the campaign 5-0, falling to Baylor in Week 7 on the road. KU is well-rested after a bye in Week 8.

The spread is favoring Oklahoma State by a slim 1.5 points for Saturday’s contest. They also have moneyline odds of -124, which gives them a 55.36% chance of winning. Kansas comes back at +102Â college football odds.
The Cowboys have beaten KU 12 straight times, but as we all know, the Jayhawks are a whole different beast in 2022 under Lance Leipold.
Oklahoma State Betting Analysis
It’s actually been a half-decent season for OK State, going 6-2 overall and still in contention for first place in the Big 12. In last week’s embarrassing loss, things went from bad to worse for the Cowboys though as QB Spencer Sanders took a late hit and looked to be in notable pain. It’s still unknown if he’ll be able to play Saturday. Sanders hasn’t been phenomenal this year, but he’s a lot more experienced than Gunnar Gundy, who could be forced to lead the way for this crucial road game.
The defeat to K-State was a career low for head coach Mike Gundy and there is no question he’ll be motivated to get his team fired up to bounce back with authority here. After all, he is 40-23 in games after a loss.

Offensively, if Sanders is out, I think Oklahoma State could have a tough time getting things going. One can only pray their QB1 is ready to roll. Defensively, the secondary should be busy too because Kansas possesses a very potent offense downfield, whether it’s Jason Bean or Jalon Daniels in the pocket.
Kansas Betting Analysis
The Jayhawks were one of the most surprising programs in the country early on but they’ve faltered as of late. Nevertheless, the hope is a bye last week can help them get back on track. Also, it was a chance for Daniels, their dual-threat signal-caller, to get some much-needed rest. He hasn’t suited up since October 8th against TCU due to a shoulder injury and was always eyeing an early November return.
Leipold said they're getting healthier, but it's that time of the year.
Said Cobee Bryant and Jalon Daniels are practicing. Luke Grimm and, I think he said Quentin Skinner, are limited.
Hopes Bryant can play. Described Daniels' status as TBD. #kufball

In his place, Bean is doing a fine job, but there is no doubt they need their leader back. Daniels has completed a whopping 78% of his passes in 22′ and even put himself in early Heisman contention before the injury. Leipold’s squad is just one victory away from bowl eligibility and although they’ve been outscored 102-10 in their last two games against Oklahoma State, the Jayhawks are more than due. Plus, the Cowboys’ defense is the worst in the Big 12 and Kansas has the weapons to make them pay.
Oklahoma State vs Kansas Prediction
The statuses of Sanders and Daniels are still TBD. That will obviously have a lot to do with the outcome. But, I honestly think Kansas takes this one. Bean is capable of leading this offense and it’s only a matter of time until this team ends the winless skid with a bowl appearance looming. It’ll be an exciting day in Lawrence for Jayhawks fans.
