In the three main in-state rivalries on the schedule this week, the “State” school is a sizable underdog in all three. Colorado State is a 7.5-point home underdog to the Buffs; Washington State is a 4.5-point road underdogs at the Huskies, and Oregon State is a massive 15.5-point home underdog to the Ducks.
Keep an eye on SBD’s college football odds page for any and all line changes over the course of the week.

The CFP national championship odds heading into Week 3 don’t feature any major changes. Texas (+800) moved up slightly after demolishing Michigan, 31-12, on the road in Ann Arbor. Georgia (+280) is still the favorite with Ohio State (+400) second.
Early Week 3 NCAAF Pick: Memphis Moneyline vs Florida State
- Week 3 Pick: Memphis moneyline (+142)
- Sascha Paruk’s 2024 NCAAF betting record: 6-1 (+4.29 units)
My favorite early line to target in the Week 3 college football odds is the Memphis Tigers (2-0, 0-0 away) to hand the reeling Florida State Seminoles (0-2, 0-1 home) a third straight setback to start the season.
Coming off a perfect regular season last year, FSU was expected to take a step back after losing starting QB Jordan Travis and a whole heap of production on the defensive side of the ball. But the results have been worse than even the most-pessimistic projections. New starter DJ Uiagalelei, who couldn’t hack it at either Clemson or Oregon State, is showing why he’s on his third team in three years.
The senior pivot has completed just 50% of his passes against the less-than-ferocious defenses of Georgia Tech (24-21 loss in Ireland) and Boston College (28-13 loss at home).
FSU was out-gained by a wide margin in both games. The results weren’t flukes. The Noles are not good.
Memphis has had two cupcake games against Troy (38-17 win at home as 18.5-point favorites) and FCS North Alabama (40-0 home win as 38.5-point favorites) but, unlike FSU, they’ve handled their business.
Coming off an impressive 10-3 season last year, including a 36-26 win over Iowa State in the Liberty Bowl, Memphis is in a much better position to sustain their success. They rank 26th out of 134 FBS teams in terms of returning production, including prolific senior QB Seth Henigan.
I love the Tigers to win straight-up on the road against a Florida State team that’s in complete disarray.
