Ohio State vs Penn State Early Odds & Prediction

Unbeaten Ohio State (7-0) goes on the road to meet Penn State (6-1) at 12 p.m. ET Saturday at Beaver Stadium in State College and the Buckeyes are 16.5-point favorites.

C.J. Stroud threw four second-half touchdowns Saturday to lead Ohio State to a 54-10 victory over visiting Iowa. The Buckeyes also forced the Hawkeyes into six turnovers.

Ohio State’s Tanner McCalister had two interceptions and Tommy Eichenberg had a pick-six. Noah Ruggles kicked four field goals for the Buckeyes.

Penn State beat Minnesota 45-17 at home behind four touchdown passes by Sean Clifford. The Nittany Lions forced the Golden Gophers to punt seven times.

Clifford threw touchdowns to tight ends Tyler Warren and Theo Johnson on consecutive possessions in the second quarter to put Penn State ahead for good. The Nittany Lions then broke the game open on Clifford’s 35-yard TD pass to Parker Washington on their first possession of the third quarter.

Ohio State struggled for a while against Iowa but don’t expect the Buckeyes to allow that to happen two weeks in a row. They should roll against suspect Penn State.

Pick: Ohio State -16.5 (-110)

Kentucky vs Tennessee Early Odds & Prediction

Surprising Tennessee (7-0) will try to keep its record perfect when it hosts Kentucky (5-2) at 7 p.m. ET Saturday at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville. The Volunteers are 13.5-point favorites.

The Vols warmed up for Kentucky by routing visiting Tennessee-Martin, an FCS school, 65-24 on Saturday. Tight end Princeton Fant had his chance to shine with two touchdown runs and a TD pass.

Hendon Hooker was 18-of-24 passing for 276 yards and three touchdowns before taking a seat late in the second quarter. Jalin Hyatt had seven receptions for 174 yards and two TDs.

Kentucky had an open date after beating Mississippi State 27-17 on Oct. 15.

Coach Mike Stoops has turned Kentucky into a dangerous program. However, this is shaping up as a special season for Tennessee and it should cover the double-digit spread.

Pick: Tennessee -13.5 (-110)

That’s Outta Line

#10 USC is a healthy 15.5-point road favorite over Arizona on Saturday in their Pac-12 game. However, that line feels like it’s a little short.

While USC sustained its first loss of the season against Utah on Oct. 15 then had a bye this weekend, the Trojans are at least three touchdowns better than Arizona (3-4). The Wildcats are improving but aren’t there yet.
