The San Francisco 49ers (6-5) will take a trip up north to see the Seattle Seahawks (3-8) this Sunday. Kickoff from Lumen Field is scheduled for 4:25 pm ET on CBS. Kevin Harlan (play-by-play) and Trent Green (analyst) will be on the call from the booth. Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 30s for the duration of this one.

The 49ers are coming in to this one winners of four of their last five games. The latest was a 34-26 beatdown of the Minnesota Vikings last Sunday. Seattle is doing the exact opposite as they have now lost six of their last seven games including a 17-15 setback against the Washington Football Team on Monday Night Football in Week 12.

The 49ers are 3.5-point favorites in this one even though standout receiver, Deebo Samuel is expected to miss the game. The total is sitting at 46.5 and could always go lower by the time kickoff rolls around. As always, there are player props to bet and that’s what we’ll talk about here.

Gerald Everett is Involved Now

When the Seattle Seahawks acquired Gerald Everett in the offseason, people thought the move was going to make the Seahawks even more dynamic. Everett is a big, physical tight end who carries his weight like a Mack truck. But game by game went by and Everett’s contributions were few and far between.

That is until the last three games. The first two of those three gave some hope for usage, but after Monday night, it looks like Everett is going to be a key piece moving forward.

It was refreshing to see Everett being targeted frequently especially on short throws. He is the type of guy who can make people miss so anytime the ball is in his hands, he can break off a big gain. On the short little dump offs, the odds are better that he makes the reception in the first place.

The San Francisco 49ers have been good this season at limiting production from opposing tight ends. On the season no team has given up fewer yards to the position than they have. The thing is, that stat could be fake because no team has seen fewer tight end targets than the 49ers. It’s hard for tight ends to get receiving yards if they aren’t being targeted.

Everett has seen his receiving yards prop hover in the 20’s for the past few weeks but this week it has crept into the low 30’s. I still think it is too low for the amount of usage I think he’ll get on Sunday. The Seahawks are 3.5-point underdogs so they are expected to chase points. As a result, I think Everett will get four quarters of targets and if that happens, over 31.5 receiving yards is a great bet.

Gerald Everett Can Score Too

We’ve made it to my favorite part of the article, the touchdown scorer prop. In this day and age, it’s irresponsible to go into an NFL football game without a touchdown scorer prop. It just is. Luckily for us, the books list a ton of guys for every game. I’ve got my money on Gerald Everett in this game.

Even though Everett wasn’t able to get into the stands, he still got into the end zone last week which is what’s important.

As I mentioned before, since Russell Wilson has been back, Gerald Everett’s usage has shot up. Over the last three games, he’s been targeted 21 times. To put that in perspective, he had only been targeted 17 times this entire season before those games. The 49ers have given up four touchdowns to the tight end position so far this season so they can be had here.

At the price of +310, the value is there to make this bet.

  • Pick: Gerald Everett – Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+310) – Wager 1 unit to win 3.1 units
  • SBD 2021 Touchdown Scorer prop record: 17-28, -2.04 units
