  • Rams were -600 on average to make the playoffs prior to winning back-to-back games, bringing their average now to +125
  • You can get +135 odds for LA to make the post-season heading into Week 15
  • Playoffstatus.com giving the Rams a 31% chance of making the playoffs

First place in the NFC West may be out of reach for the Los Angeles Rams, but a playoff spot certainly isn’t.

After back-to-back victories, the Rams improved their chances of securing a playoff berth heading into Week 15.

One sportsbook released its updated NFL playoff odds and is giving the Rams odds as short as +135 of clinching a post-season spot with just three games left in the regular season. Los Angeles missing the playoffs comes in as the -180 favorite.

On November 27, the Rams were outside of the playoff picture looking in, listed at +600 on average across all sportsbooks to clinch a post-season spot. Things changed drastically following back-to-back wins for the Rams, who are now +125 on average to make the playoffs this season.

Los Angeles is 8-5 and holding down third in the NFC West behind the 49ers and Seahawks.

If the playoffs began today the Rams would not qualify at 8-5 as the club looks to chase down the Minnesota Vikings (9-4) for the last Wild-Card spot.

Unfortunately for the Rams, two of their last three games come against NFC rivals playing with a lot at stake too.

Los Angeles will take on the Dallas Cowboys in Week 15 followed by a tough matchup in Week 16 against the Niners. Just to complicate matters a little more for the Rams, both of the games are on the road before LA wraps up the regular season at home against the lowly Arizona Cardinals.

LA Has 31% Chance of Making the Post-Season

According to playoffstatus.com projection figures, the Rams currently have a 31-percent chance of making the playoffs with three games remaining.

That is because not only do the Rams have to win at least two of three to give themselves a real chance, but Los Angeles will also have to do some scoreboard watching as well.

For instance, the Vikings saw their odds to make the playoffs move from -800 to -350 after the Rams won their second straight game.

However, Minnesota has a tough schedule down the stretch, with games against the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears to close out the season. The Vikes are getting a 72-percent chance to make the playoffs at playoffstatus.com.

If the Rams are going to make the playoffs, they’ll need Jared Goff to be flawless the rest of the way. Goff has been strong for the Rams as the QB currently ranks fourth in passing yards (3,712) this season.

Whether it’ll be enough to get the Rams into the playoffs remains to be seen, but based on schedule difficulty, the path to the post-season looks more achievable for Los Angeles.

Pick: Yes (+135)
