The Arizona Cardinals (3-0) and Los Angeles Rams (3-0) will meet for the first time this season at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The kickoff is scheduled for 4:05 pm ET on FOX. Glorious weather is expected for this one with temperatures in the upper 70s and no precipitation in sight.

The Cardinals limped through the first half of last week’s 31-19 win over the 0-3 Jacksonville Jaguars. They were down 13-7 heading into the locker rooms at halftime after an insane kick-six by the Jaguars as the first half-time expired. Los Angeles had no such issues with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers going box to wire in their 34-24 dismantling of the Super Bowl Champs.

Los Angeles opened as 4.5-point favorites only to watch that number grow to -6 at the time of publishing. The total is on the move as well settling at 54.5 after opening at 49. As always, there are plenty of player props to consider and that is what we will talk about here.

Meet Rondale Moore

If you watch college football then you already know Rondale Moore from his days at Purdue.

If you don’t watch college football, then you should still know who Rondale Moore is from all of the chatter around the Arizona Cardinals drafting him last spring. He is a do-it-all guy that only requires you to put the ball in his hands to succeed.

In his first three games as a professional, Moore has seen 15 targets hauling in 13 of them. This is after only being targeted twice last game but I think that was because they didn’t want to put anything on tape for the Rams to see. Sunday’s game will be the first time the Cardinals have seen the Los Angeles Rams with Moore as a member of their squad and he is highly likely to be part of the game plan.

Arizona has a very crowded pass-catching group with at least five players seeing 15 targets so far this season. It’s tough to target any of them in the receptions market due to this factor. What makes Moore interesting is the fact that his ADOT is at 2.87 yards. He can easily get a couple of cheap ones in the right environment.

We should see an environment conducive for Moore this Sunday. The Los Angeles Rams have yet to score less than 27 points in a game this season so Arizona will not be able to sit on the ball like they did at times last week. In the only game the Cardinals were forced to chase points this season, Moore was targeted eight times.

Who Scores?

The total for this game is currently at 54.5 so there will be points scored in this game. This number implies 7+ touchdowns so all we have to do is figure out how each team likes to score and then narrow down our search. One guy that pops up is Cooper Kupp of the Los Angeles Rams.

Only four teams in the NFL have given up more touchdowns (5) to the wide receiver position than the Arizona Cardinals. So far this season Kupp has yet to not reach the end zone in any game. In fact, he actually scored twice in two of the three games. He is a very safe bet to keep scoring until someone stops him. It’s unlikely to be the Cardinals.

  • Pick: Cooper Kupp – Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-140) – Wager 0.14 units to win 0.10 units
  • 2021 Touchdown Scorer prop record 2-7 / -0.46 units
