With the NFL combine in the rearview mirror, we head to the pro days section of the NFL Draft process. With top prospects, such as Cam Ward, Travis Hunter, and Shedeur Sanders, not participating in the drills at the combine, Miami and Colorado’s pro days will be a must-watch for NFL executives. Despite not working out, Ward and Hunter still saw their odds change after the combine.

NFL Draft betting markets have been out for a while now, but they have changed after the combine, and there are several players and teams that are showing value in this sweet spot between the combine and pro days.

After the NFL combine, Cam Ward saw his odds improve from -155 to -200 to be the first pick in the draft despite not working out. Earlier in the draft process, Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders seemed like 1a and 1b options at quarterback, but Ward has distanced himself in that competition.

He impressed a lot of people with how he answered the interview questions he was asked, and now the league consensus seems like Ward will be drafted first. The question now turns to which team will be there to select him.

There are three quarterback-needy teams atop the draft this year. The Titans currently hold the No. 1 pick and could easily select Cam Ward as Tennessee’s quarterback coach was spotted talking with Cam Ward frequently during the combine. A popular trade projection in the draft is between the Giants and Titans. New York holds the No. 3 pick and could trade up with the Titans if Tennessee wants to go in a different direction. The Browns at the second pick also could use a quarterback, especially with Deshaun Watson’s injury.

The Heisman finalist has all the tools to be a franchise quarterback in the NFL. He can throw from anywhere on the field with pinpoint accuracy and excels in off-platform throws. He is an athletic playmaker who can make all the throws needed to be an NFL quarterback. The leadership that he has shown going from Incarnate Word to Washington State to Miami has also impressed scouts across the league, and that was evident in his NFL combine interviews.

-200 odds might not scream value, but Cam Ward increasingly feels like he will be the first pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The only thing that could stop this from happening is a poor pro day at Miami, which I do not see happening when he is comfortable at his practice facility throwing to his favorite receivers like draft prospect Xavier Restrepo.

NFL Draft odds move quickly and I can only see this number getting shorter as we get closer to draft day. I also like that there are multiple options for the team selecting him at No. 1. If the Giants and Titans make a trade, Ward’s odds will improve even more. I believe -200 is the best we will see this market at for Cam Ward as we near the draft.

NFL Draft Best Bet:

Cam Ward to be the Number 1 Overall Pick (-200 at bet365)

Travis Hunter did not work out at the combine, but he answered a lot of interview questions including which position he will play in the NFL. Hunter played both wide receiver and cornerback at Colorado and believes he can play both in the NFL as well.

At +1000 odds at bet365, the Browns offer a tremendous value to select Travis Hunter. The Browns are +450 to draft Hunter at other books. Cleveland has a lot of options at the second pick, and they have been rumored to be suitors for the two-way star.

If Cam Ward goes No. 1, the Browns could target the Heisman winner to help improve both sides of the ball. The Browns general manager said that he believes Hunter can play both receiver and cornerback in the NFL, but he sees him as a wide receiver primarily.

In an interview at the NFL combine, Hunter listed two Browns players that he would like to work out: Jerry Jeudy and Denzel Ward. If Hunter gets selected by Cleveland he will be able to train and learn from both of those players. Hunter could help bolster Cleveland’s receiving corps as well as improve their secondary that struggled last season.

The Browns do need a quarterback, but they are also looking at veteran options such as Kirk Cousins. It would not surprise me if they go with the best player available here, which comes down to Travis Hunter or Abdul Carter. Given the odds at other sportsbooks, the multiple options the Browns have, and the fact I believe Cam Ward goes No. 1 overall, Hunter being drafted by the Browns is a great bet to make after the combine.

NFL Draft Best Bet:

Browns to Draft Travis Hunter (+1000 at bet365)
