- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers travel to Motown to visit the Lions for the Week 7 edition of Monday Night Football

We were treated to football excellence this weekend. We had good games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, but just when we thought it couldn’t get better, here comes Monday with two more battles. The sweet part is, both games should be legit. With that being said, we’re just going to focus on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Detroit Lions matchup. Sometimes it’s smart to break these days down into digestible pieces. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. Lucky for us, there’s more than enough to look at in the Buccaneers/Lions game, so we’re good. Plus, it’s coming on at 7:00 pm on the East Coast, which means we’re gambling early tonight. Feels glorious.

The two legs of this TB/DET same-game parlay – which are both -205 or shorter – spit out a +104 SGP at Caesars. Check out SBD’s guide to learn about SGP betting for NFL.

Buccaneers vs Lions SGP Leg #1 – Never Bet Against Baker
We have to start this thing with something we know is going to hit. It’s just the way this SGP world works. Our hands are tied. Lucky for us, Baker Mayfield is playing quarterback for one of the teams playing in this game.
If there is one thing we know about Baker, it’s that we should never bet against Baker.
There are a million reasons to bet on or against any player, and a lot of the time those reasons don’t have anything to do with whether the guy is “good” or not. That’s kind of how this situation is tonight with Baker. Obviously, it’s nice to know he’s an absolute dawg, but that’s just part of the puzzle.
The thing about this game is we know for a fact that the Lions are going to motorboat this Buccaneers’ defense. We’re talking an illegal amount of motorboats here, people. The Tampa defense is good against the run and very bad against the pass. They’ve already given up 1500+ passing yards, and they’ve only played six games.
Once the Lions assert themselves, the Buccaneers are going to be forced into throwing the ball way more than they want to. That’s where Baker comes in. We literally watched Jake Browning throw for 250+ yards against these Lions, so it’s not like 220+ is going to be impossible. Hell, Baker could do this in the first half. Feels easy.

TB vs DET Same-Game Parlay Leg #2 – Sam LaPorta Won’t Be Stopped
We already know the Lions will have a field day through the air tonight, so why not go with someone on their team to go over their receiving yards? We need a leg that will take this thing home, and the Lions’ receiving options will be busy. We shouldn’t overthink this thing.
Lucky for us, people are saying Detroit has the best tight end in the game today.
I can hear the haters now, “Slop, why aren’t we playing Amon-Ra St. Brown?” Great question. We can play him if we want to, but I prefer a lower number on a guy, LaPorta. He gets targeted all the time, and he’s gone for 30+ receiving yards every game this season except for one. He had 26 that game, so he was right there.
On top of being targeted all the time, he’s playing a team in the Buccaneers that is Charmin soft against the tight end position. We just watched Jake Tonges go 6-58 against these guys. No disrespect to Tonges and his family, but he’s no LaPorta. He’s not even half of a LaPorta. This could be the easiest bet of our lives. Feels right.
