Buccaneers vs Texans SGP Pick #1: C.J. Stroud 230+ Passing Yards

The first leg of this SGP points me towards Texans QB C.J. Stroud passing for over 230 yards. In Week 1, he failed to accomplish that mission, with just 188 yards versus the Rams. However, he’s up against a Bucs defense that surrendered 298 yards to Michael Penix Jr. to start the campaign.

Dating back to last season, TB struggled to stop passers lighting them up through the air, giving up 245.3 yards per outing, third worst in the NFL. Stroud also has great vibes from his lone appearance against the Buccaneers, going off for a (still career-high) 470 yards in his 2023 rookie season.

TB vs HOU Same-Game Parlay Pick #2: Emeka Egbuka 5+ Receptions

Buccaneers first round rookie receiver Emeka Egbuka is coming off a phenomenal first outing, where he hauled in four passes for 67 yards and two touchdowns, securing the game-winning score in the last minute against Atlanta.

Egbuka features in the Buccaneers vs Texans props, and for good reason, after becoming just the second player since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger to record a game-winning TD with less than a minute to go in his NFL debut. He’s also the first Buc with two receiving TD’s in his first game since 2005.

For this part of the SGP, I’m expecting him to continue sharing the workload primarily with Mike Evans, with Chris Godwin injured. Egbuka will need to bring in 5+ passes to hit on the leg of the parlay, which could happen with Texans’ CB Derek Stingley covering Evans throughout the battle.

Buccaneers vs Texans SGP Pick #3: Jaylin Noel 15+ Receiving Yards

I’m going a little bit out on a limb for another rookie wideout to complete this SGP with some added juice to get the number to +550. Jaylin Noel caught one pass in his debut for seven yards on two targets. For this affair, I have him picking up 15+ yards, which can be accounted for considering I’m selecting Stroud to have a lot of passing yards.

Noel played 17 snaps in Week 1 against the Rams, and having one game under his belt, can further be acclimated in Houston’s passing attack with Tank Dell, Christian Kirk and Braxton Berrios unable to suit up for this duel.

Add it all up, and hitting on a +550 SGP would be a very nice payout.
