Today’s football feast continues with the Chiefs (6-5, 1-4 away) vs Cowboys (5-5-1, 3-1-1 home) contest. This game is expected to be one of the most watched matchups in NFL history, which is going to translate into a massive amount of action at online sportsbooks.

I like the Chiefs to cover the 3-point spread, and for them to do so they’ll need a big day from Patrick Mahomes. The two-time MVP is my favorite target in the player props market, and I’m also looking to wager on a couple of his teammates.

I’m betting over 2.5 touchdowns for Mahomes at +148 odds. Gone are the days where 3+ TD games are the norm for Mahomes, but this matchup against a dreadful Cowboys pass defense is too good to pass up.

Chiefs vs Cowboys Player Prop Bet #1: Patrick Mahomes Passing TD

Let’s start with the Dallas defense. Entering the week, they’ve surrendered the second most passing touchdowns in football (24) and the third most passing yards (2,973). Their pass rush is middling, while their coverage unit grades out 26th. What that tells us is Mahomes is going to have all day to carve them up through the air.

Mahomes’ play this season is a throwback to his MVP days, and the main reason why the Chiefs are a legitimate Super Bowl 60 odds contender despite their mediocre record. Mahomes ranks top four in Total EPA, pass EPA, success rate and passing yards among quarterbacks, and is still capable of ceiling performances.

He’s thrown only 18 TD passes, but has four 3+ TD games so far, and will add another one to his resume this afternoon.

Chiefs vs Cowboys Player Prop Bet #2: Xavier Worthy Receiving Yards

If we expect a big day from Mahomes, his receivers are going to have to put up stats as well. Rashee Rice is the obvious choice to lead the team in receiving, but don’t sleep on Xavier Worthy.

The speedster has seen 7+ targets in three of his past four contests, and is Mahomes’ most explosive weapon. The duo has just missed out on several big plays over the last few weeks, and I’m betting they connect today for at least one explosive catch.

As a result, I’m getting aggressive and betting 50+ receiving yards for Worthy. Dallas’ secondary has allowed the most production to enemy wideouts this season, including a league-high 18 TD.

Chiefs vs Cowboys Anytime Touchdown Odds

Shifting over to the Chiefs vs Cowboys anytime touchdown props, where I’m banking on Dallas coughing up at least one touchdown to Worthy’s teammate Rice.

Chiefs vs Cowboys Player Prop Bet #3: Rashee Rice Anytime TD

Rice has the second shortest odds to score behind Dallas’ Javonte Williams, but I’d argue his price should be the shortest. Since returning from suspension, Rice has seen 9 targets inside the 10-yard line, and 13 looks inside the red zone. His 9 targets inside the 10 is tied for the fourth most in the NFL, and he missed the first six games of the season.

KC is implied to score four touchdowns in this contest today, and given how the Cowboys play defense, I’m betting Rice gets at least one of them.
