  • See my favorite Chiefs vs Giants player props and best bets for Sunday Night Football

Sunday Night Football in Week 3 features two squads in desperate need of a victory, with the 0-and-2 Kansas City Chiefs up against the 0-and-2 New York Giants. Kansas City attempts to avoid 0-and-3 for the first time since 2011, while the G-Men are 7-and-0 all-time at home against the Chiefs.

KC has lost to the Chargers and Eagles, while New York has faltered to Washington and Dallas. Heading into Week 3, surprisingly Russell Wilson leads all QBs with 618 passing yards. There’s a lot of money to be made in NFL player props, and I’ve compiled my three favorite prop bets, below, including a touchdown-scorer bet in the Week 3 SNF odds.

Chiefs vs Giants Prop Pick #1: Russell Wilson Under 221.5 Passing Yards

It’ll be fashionable to consider that Russell Wilson has found the fountain of youth and will have another monster game, like his 450 passing yards against Dallas in Week 2, the second highest output of his career. However, I’m not buying stock that he’ll suddenly be prime DangeRuss, and think he’s due for a downturn.

In his last three affairs with the Chiefs in his career, Wilson has failed to pass for more than 205 yards. Dating back to last regular season, the 450 yard game against a very suspect Dallas squad was the lone time he’s had more than 222 passing yards in his last seven outings.

Given Wilson’s recent history, I suspect Week 2 against a leaky Cowboys D was the aberration, and not the rule.

  • Russell Wilson Under 221.5 Passing Yards (-112)

KC vs NYG Player Prop #2: Kareem Hunt Over 31.5 Rushing Yards

The New York Giants have been dreadful in the first two duels at stopping the run, surrendering a league-high 177.5 yards per game on the ground. That includes 220 yards to Washington in Week 1, and 135 to Dallas in Week 2.

Enter Kareem Hunt, who is set at 31.5 yards. His totals in the first two games were 16 and 31 yards, just shy of the over mark. In the last six contests of last year, he went over his total on four occasions. Even though Isiah Pacheco is the Chiefs starting running back, I just can’t trust him to go over his 41.5 mark, given that he’s failed to do so in his last five outings, dating back to last postseason. With the G-Men giving up a ton of yards on the ground, I prefer going for Hunt to get a more manageable number.

As for the odds to win the game outright, our Brady Trettenero has the Chiefs vs Giants odds article, where he makes an intriguing selection.

Moving over to the Chiefs vs Giants touchdown scorer props, Travis Kelce has the shortest odds to record a TD at +135. The player most likely to find the end zone for New York is Malik Nabers at +145.

Chiefs vs Giants Prop Pick #3: Malik Nabers Anytime TD

Through the first two weeks of the campaign, nobody has more receiving yards than the Giants’ Malik Nabers with 238. He’s already found a great chemistry with Russell Wilson, hauling in 14 receptions and he posted two touchdowns last weekend against Dallas.

After going eight straight games of his rookie season without finding paydirt, he was able to record a TD in three of his last four contests for a total of four touchdowns. Dating back to last season, the G-Men #1 target has put up a TD in four of six affairs. The Chiefs surrendered three TD catches to receivers in Week 1 vs the Chargers, and have given up 47 points already. As always, make sure you scan our NFL betting apps to find the best odds.
