Moral victories are about all that’s left for the Detroit Lions (2-6, 4-4 ATS) and Chicago Bears (3-6, 4-4-1 ATS) this year as the NFC North bottom feeders are once again looking up at other teams in the division.
The Lions did get a huge victory over Aaron Rodgers and the Pack last week and will try to ride that momentum into Chicago.
It’s the first meeting between the NFC North rivals this year with kickoff scheduled for 1pm ET at Soldier Field in the Windy City. FOX will provide the coverage for this one and the forecast is calling for chilly 34.6 fahrenheit temperatures, but lots of sun. The Bears are 2.5-point favorites in the Week 10 NFL odds and took both matchups last year.
Despite being well out of the playoff picture, Bears fans can watch and listen in delight as reporters and media analysts continue to proclaim Justin Fields as a quarterback Chicago can finally count on. More odds for this contest can be found below, plus our best bet and prediction.

You won’t find a contender in the Super Bowl odds in this game, but division games are always tough battles so buckle up for what should be a physical matchup.
The Lions have yet to win on the road this year and would love nothing more then to get their first victory away from Motown in Chicago against their rivals.

Detroit Lions Betting Outlook
In NFL public betting trends, most of the money is on the Bears although the spread has come down to 2.5 points from three points. The public is putting 79% of the bets on the side from the Windy City.
Detroit appears to have almost a clean bill of health heading into this game. Only rookie cornerback Chase Lucas and veteran wideout Josh Reynolds were missing from the last team practice due to injury.
Kerby Joseph was the star of last week’s upset of Green Bay, picking off Aaron Rodgers twice and almost grabbing a third. With another performance like that, he should be entering the discussion in the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year odds.

The Lions defense as a whole was impressive in last week’s 15-9 win over the Packers. It was the first time they’d held an opponent to fewer than 10 points since 2018. Jared Goff threw two touchdown passes, more than he was able to pass for in the previous three weeks combined.
Bears’ Offense Comes to Life
Trading away Roquan Smith and Robert Quinn has done nothing to help the defense for the Monsters of the Midway, but it was obviously done with an eye towards the future. In the last two games, the Bears have given up 84 points combined. That’s not exactly a winning formula.
On the plus side, the offense has come to life with Fields looking as comfortable as he ever has in his early career. Chicago has averaged over 31 points per game in their last three contests. Yes, the over has done well lately if you’ve been betting on Chicago games, hitting three consecutive times coming into the Lions matchup.
Getting back to Fields, check out some of the things he accomplished in the 35-32 loss to the Dolphins last week. His 178 rushing yards were the most ever by a quarterback in a regular season game. He also threw for three scores. No one had ever run for more than 130 yards while throwing for at least three majors.

The turnaround for the Bears’ offense has been jaw dropping when looking at the numbers. Chicago scored 93 points in their first six games, but have put up one more point – 94 – in the last three games alone. The offense is alive.
Lions vs Bears Pick & Prediction
This rivalry has been a bit of a roller coaster over the years with the Bears owning the matchup of late. Since 2018, Chicago is 7-1 against the Lions, holding them to under 24 points in all seven wins.
It’ll be interesting to see how both teams run their offense in very chilly weather. Only two games in the Week 10 NFL odds have a higher projected over/under total then the 48.5 points in this clash.
With the unpredictability of the cold weather, take the Bears on the moneyline here. Fields just looks like he’s finding his groove and has the “it” factor that will carry Chicago over the finish line if this ends up coming down to the wire.
