  • The New York Giants will be looking to carry their momentum when they head to Dallas to take on the Cowboys this Sunday (October 10th)
  • The Giants got their first win of the season last week outlasting the New Orleans Saints 27-21 in overtime

Daniel Jones and the New York Giants (1-3) travel to Arlington, Texas to for their first meeting of the season with the NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys (3-1) Sunday. The kick-off from AT&T Stadium is scheduled for 4:25 pm ET on FOX.

The Giants got a much-needed win over the New Orleans Saints in Week 4 to finally get into the win column. They were 7-point underdogs so there wasn’t much faith in the streets as to whether they could get the job done. Meanwhile, Dallas held off the Carolina Panthers 36-28 in a game that wasn’t as close as the final score says it was.

The look-ahead line on this one was Dallas -5.5 and has since moved all the way to the Cowboys -7 at the time of publishing. The total opened at 48.5 but has since been bet up to 52 at most places. Almost two of every three bets on the total have come in on the Over so far.

The New York Giants

Big Blue got their first win of the season last week 27-21 in comeback fashion over the New Orleans Saints. It took overtime but like everyone says, a win is a win.

They’ve been knocking on the door for weeks now losing two games in a row by three or less points but Daniel Jones refused to let the team lose another close one.

Jones has now thrown for almost 1,200 yards, four touchdowns and only one interception this season. Not only that but he’s run for 188 yards on the ground. He’s come a long way in a short amount of time and at some point, the pundits will have to recognize him as a legitimate quarterback in the NFL.

The Dallas Cowboys

Daniel Jones isn’t the only quarterback with skill in this game as the Dallas Cowboys have one of their own as well. There were questions as to whether or not Dak Prescott would regain his form after a gruesome ankle injury last season. After leading the Cowboys to a 3-1 record to start the season, I’d say he’s fine. By fine I mean he’s back to making the improbable look easy.

Prescott has thrown 10 touchdowns already while only tossing two interceptions which is why the Cowboys sit on top of the NFC East. It’s not just offense this season for the Cowboys though as they have a top-10 defense (DVOA). They will be a tough team to beat as the season goes on if they can stay healthy.

Giants vs Cowboys Best Bet

Dallas’s defense has been very good but the Giants just dropped 27 points on a very good New Orleans Saints defense. Sure it took overtime but 27 points is 27 points. Now they get to see a Cowboys defense that has given up at least 21 points in three of the four games they’ve played.

The Cowboys aren’t the only team in this game giving up points as the Giants have also given up 21 or more points three times already. It’s hard to imagine the Cowboys not at least flirting with 30 points in this game and if that happens, the Giants can be trusted to at least keep it close. I like this game to go over the posted total of 52.
