  • The Buffalo Bills are 5.5-point favorites over the Jacksonville Jaguars in their NFL game on Sunday, October 8 in London, England
  • Jacksonville is 3-2 SU and ATS in the last five meetings with Buffalo in past Jaguars vs Bills picks
  • The Jaguars are 5-5 SU and ATS in 10 prior games they’ve played in England

The Buffalo Bills (3-1, 3-1 ATS) have been crushing it lately, but can they dethrone the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-2, 2-2 ATS) the NFL’s kings of England as favorites in the Jaguars vs Bills odds? Buffalo will be playing in merry old England for just the second time. The Jaguars have played an NFL-record 10 games across the pond, including a 34-31 win over the Bills in 2015.

That list also takes into account last week’s 23-7 downing of the Atlanta Falcons. Jacksonville is now 5-5 straight up and against the spread in games played in England.

Speaking of 5-5, oddsmakers are setting the Bills as 5.5-point favorites for this game. Jacksonville is 8-3 ATS in the last 11 games.

Let’s look deeply into this game, breaking down the Bills vs Jaguars picks and offering you our prediction for this NFL Week 5 showdown.

Jacksonville is 8-3 SU over the last 11 games. Buffalo is 11-2 SU through the past 13 games.

Kickoff for this game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, October 8, is set for 9:30am ET. The broadcast is being carried by the NFL Network and by DAZN in Canada.

Jacksonville vs Buffalo Betting Trends

In the NFL public betting splits, Buffalo is getting 95% of spread handle and 96% of moneyline handle. Buffalo is 2-6 ATS in the last eight games against AFC South opposition.

In the last five times the Jaguars faced Buffalo away from Jacksonville, all five games went over on the total. The Jaguars have held the Bills under 10 points in two of their three last games, though.

Buffalo is the co-3rd betting choice in the Super Bowl 58 odds at +750. The Jaguars are set with a number of 8.5 in the NFL win totals. Play the over at odds of -125 or the under and the betting line of +105.

Bills Are Blasting Everybody

Since a Week 1 loss to the New York Jets, Buffalo has won three in a row, covered in each game and put at least 30 points up on the board in every contest. Buffalo is showing as the NFL’s top-scoring offense, posting 34.8 points per game.

Bills QB Josh Allen is leading the league with a 74.8% completion rate. He’s third in the NFL in passer rating (106.7), QBR (71.9) and TD passes (nine). WR Stefon Diggs is #2 in the NFL with four TD receptions.

Don’t sleep on the Buffalo defense, though. The Bills have allowed as many as 20 points just once during this three-game win streak and completely stymied Miami’s league-leading offense in last week’s 48-20 rout of the Dolphins.

The Bills are leading the NFL in takeaways (11), are tied for top spot in sacks (16) and are second overall in scoring defense (13.8 points per game).

It’s Josh Allen vs Josh Allen

For just the second time in their respective NFL careers, Josh Allen is playing Josh Allen. As in the Bills QB vs the Jaguars linebacker. And the Josh Allen currently holding the bragging rights isn’t the one you might expect.

When they met as NFLers for the first time in 2021, it was the Jaguars Josh Allen who was playing the starring role. His finished Jacksonville’s 9-6 upset victory with a game-leading eight tackles, as well as an interception and a sack of his namesake.

Meanwhile, Buffalo’s Josh Allen was held without a TD, sacked four times and was picked off twice.

Jacksonville vs Buffalo Prediction

Jacksonville will be welcoming back left tackle Cam Robinson, receiver Zay Jones and receiver/returner Jamal Agnew to the lineup. Meanwhile, Buffalo is without starting defensive end Greg Rousseau. He’s posted three sacks and four QB hits this season. LB Von Miller (ACL) hasn’t been cleared for activation from IR.

Every season, it seems the Bills lose a game they absolutely should win. In 2021, it was that loss to the Jags. Could history repeat itself?

Jaguars vs Bills Picks: Jacksonville Jaguars +5.5 (-110)
