The NFL’s Divisional Round gets underway Saturday in KC, as the AFC’s top ranked Chiefs host the Jaguars. These two teams met earlier this season, with Kansas City prevailing 27-17.

Online sportsbooks made the Chiefs a 9.5-point favorite in that contest, and the line is just a hair shorter for Saturday’s matchup. That means Jacksonville is expected to be playing catchup for most of the afternoon, and if that does in fact happen Travis Etienne is going to be a busy man.

The Jags RB is the first target on our Jaguars vs Chiefs player props card, while we’re also interested in backing the MVP favorite Patrick Mahomes.

Etienne is favored to lead this game in rushing, boasting an over/under rushing yards prop of 70.5 in the Jaguars vs Chiefs odds. However, it’s not his run game prowess we’re looking to target, it’s his pass catching chops.

Jaguars vs Chiefs Props: Travis Etienne Over 18.5 Receiving Yards

Etienne played on 64 of 74 offensive snaps last week against the Chargers, running a route on 40 of Trevor Lawrence’s dropbacks. That’s a big increase from his regular season numbers, but the Jags clearly realize their best chance to win is with him on the field.

Etienne caught three balls for 28 yards in his first meeting with KC, and has at least 24 receiving yards in three of his past five games. Game script should be going against Jacksonville for most of the game, and the Chiefs generate a ton of pressure which is going to force Lawrence to check the ball down more often than he’d like.

That’s where Etienne can shine, and it also doesn’t hurt that the KC defense allowed the fourth most receiving yards to enemy running backs this season.

Pick: Travis Etienne Over 18.5 Receiving Yards (-115), 1 unit

Jaguars vs Chiefs Props: Patrick Mahomes Over 2.5 TD Passes

Mahomes led the league in touchdown passes this season with 41 and eclipsed 2.5 TD throws eight times. One of those performance was against the Jags, when he lit them up for 331 passing yards and four scores.

Patrick Mahomes Stats – Last 3 Playoff Games

Opponent YDS TD INT
Cincinnati Bengals 275 3 2
Buffalo Bills 378 3 0
Pittsburgh Steelers 404 5 1

Mahomes has thrown 28 touchdown passes in 11 career playoff starts, including 11 last year in only three postseason games. Jacksonville’s defense ranks ninth against the run, but 30th versus the pass according to DVOA.

Pick: Patrick Mahomes Over 2.5 TD Passes (+100), 1 unit

Jaguars vs Chiefs Props: Evan Engram Anytime TD

Engram scored in last weekend’s win over the Chargers, and earned 11 targets. He’s seen double-digit looks in three of his last five games, scoring three times in his past seven outings.

We mentioned how Jacksonville struggles against the pass, and while that’s true, it’s also true that no team gave up more touchdown passes than Kansas City. The Chiefs surrendered 33 scores through the air, four more than any other squad.

Pick: Evan Engram Anytime TD (+235), 0.5 units
