The Kansas City Chiefs will look to continue their recent dominance of the Denver Broncos when the AFC West teams meet at 4:30 pm ET Saturday in each’s regular-season finale at Empower Field at Mile High.

The Chiefs (11-5) will look to beat the Broncos for the 13th consecutive time. Kansas City has clinched its sixth consecutive division title and would secure the No. 1 seed and first-round bye in the AFC playoffs if it wins and the Houston Texans upset the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

The Broncos (7-9) are wrapping up their sixth straight season without a playoff berth and are 10.5-point home underdogs in a game that will be shown on ESPN. Read on for our Chiefs vs Broncos picks below.

Broncos Know Mahomes Well

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is having another fine year with 4,569 yards and 35 touchdowns.

Though he’s still pretty darned good, he hasn’t matched some of his spectacular seasons of the past. Mahomes’ passer rating of 98.8 in his worst mark in four seasons as a starter.

The Broncos defense gave Mahomes trouble when the teams met December 5 in Kansas City. Though the Chiefs won 22-9, he completed just 15 of 29 passes for 184 yards with no touchdowns and one interception.

Mahomes has had fewer passing yards only once this season with 166 in a win over the Green Bay Packers. The Broncos are one of just three defenses that have held Mahomes without a TD pass.

Mahomes has thrown for at least 300 yards just twice in the last 10 games and is facing an opponent that is sixth in the NFL in pass defense. Look for Mahomes to have somewhat of a tough time on what could be a windy day.

  • The Play: Patrick Mahomes under 269.5 passing yards (-114)

Chiefs’ Williams Fine Stand-In

The Chiefs are expected to be without top running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (shoulder) for a second straight week.

That wasn’t an issue last week, though the Chiefs lost to the Bengals 34-31 in Cincinnati. Darrel Williams picked up the slack with a career-high 88 yards and 107 yards from scrimmage.

Most importantly for our purposes, Williams tied a career best two touchdown runs.

Williams had 11 carries and three receptions against the Bengals. Look for him to get at least many touches and perhaps more, especially if the Broncos can clamp down on Mahomes, which will give him enough chances to score.

  • The Pick: Darrel Williams to score a touchdown (-125)
