For the Raiders, of concern is a groin injury to placekicker Daniel Carlson that is leaving him as questionable for the game. However, QB1 Jimmy Garappolo returns following a one-game absence due to a back ailment.

Raiders Thin at Linebacker

Already with injuries at the position, the linebacking corps of the Raiders took some more hits this week. Starting WLB Divine Deablo (ankle) is out, as his backup MLB Kana’i Mauga (knee). SLB Darien Butler (undisclosed) is on IR. However, there is some positive news at LB for Las Vegas. MLB Curtis Bolton (knee) is expected to be activated from IR for this game.

Carlson was able to kick through his groin injury in last week’s game against the Chicago Bears. He missed practice on Thursday and Friday, and was limited in workouts on Saturday.

The Raiders are welcoming back Garoppolo following an enforced sit-down last week. Las Vegas is hopeful that CB Nate Hobbs, questionable with an ankle injury, can play. He’s been limited all week in practice. CB Jakorian Bennett (shoulder/knee) has been cleared of his injury designation.

St Brown a Game-Time Decision for Lions

A late-week development saw the Lions add St Brown to their injury report due to illness. He’d been able to practice all week, so this something that came on suddenly. Though listed as questionable, he’ll be a game-time decision.

Offensive line is another major issue for the Lions. The club could be without the entire interior of the unit. Tackles Taylor Decker and Penei Sewell are the only starters who are healthy.

LG Jonah Johnson is out with a high ankle sprain. C Frank Ragnow (calf/toe) was unable to practice all week and is doubtful. RG Halapoulivaati Vaitai (back) is questionable. Also on offense, FB Jason Cabinda (knee) is on IR.

The Lions placed safety CJ Gardner-Johnson (pectoral) on IR.

How Could Injuries Affect Raiders vs Lions Betting Lines?

If you’re planning to make any plays on the Raiders vs Lions player props, Detroit RB Jahmyr Gibbs is a good place to start. Montgomery was also out of action last week. In his absence, Gibbs ran the ball 11 times for 68 yards and his first NFL TD. He also caught nine of 10 targets for an additional 58 yards.

It’s entirely possible that the interior of Detroit’s offensive line could consist of LG Kayode Awosika, C Graham Glasgow and RG Colby Sorsdal. Glasgow is a seven-year vet who’s been starting for Vaitai at RG. Awosika would be making his second NFL start and Sorsdal his first.

As a precautionary measure in case Carlson can’t go, the Riders were adding K James McCourt to the practice roster earlier this week.
