After months of speculation, the Maxx Crosby trade saga is over. The Las Vegas Raiders have agreed to send their star defensive end to the Baltimore Ravens in exchange for first-round picks in 2026 and 2027, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The deal can’t be processed until the new league year begins next week, but it’s done.

Sportsbooks wasted no time reacting. Baltimore’s Super Bowl odds have shortened from +1200 to +1000 at FanDuel, and the Ravens now sit as the favorite to come out of the AFC.

I’m going to walk through all the updated Ravens’ futures numbers and whether this price is worth a look.

Ravens Super Bowl Odds After Maxx Crosby Trade

Baltimore’s Super Bowl number moved from +1200 to +1000 at FanDuel following the Crosby news, making them the third shortest price on the board behind the Rams (+700) and Seahawks (+750). At +1000, the implied probability lands at 9.1%, and no AFC team is closer to the top.

Over at Kalshi, Baltimore is trading at 7c, which translates to roughly +1329 in traditional sports betting terms. That’s still a longer number than what the sportsbooks are offering, so there could be some value on the prediction market side before the trade gets fully priced in.

Ravens AFC Championship, Division and MVP Odds

The Crosby deal did more than just move the Super Bowl number. Baltimore is now the AFC Championship favorite at +440, ahead of the Bills (+500) and Chargers (+700). For a team that went 8-9 and missed the playoffs last year, that’s a pretty wild turnaround on paper.

The AFC North division odds are even more lopsided. Baltimore is a heavy -155 favorite, with Cincinnati next at +270, Pittsburgh at +750 and Cleveland at +1000.

On the individual side, Lamar Jackson sits second in the NFL MVP odds at +750, trailing only Josh Allen (+600). I think there’s real value on Jackson here. A better defense keeps him out of situations where he’s pressing from behind, and he’s won the award twice already.

As for Crosby himself, his NFL DPOY odds at DraftKings have already shortened from +800 to +650 since the trade broke, making him the second favorite behind only Myles Garrett (+425). Micah Parsons, Aidan Hutchinson and Will Anderson Jr. are all further back at +800. Playing on a better defense with more talent around him could easily push Crosby’s sack numbers even higher than the 10 he posted in Vegas last year.

What Crosby Fixes on This Defense

Baltimore’s pass rush was borderline unwatchable in 2025. The Ravens managed just 30 sacks on the season, and their 4.6% sack rate was the second-worst in franchise history. Travis Jones led the team with five. Five. That’s your top sack producer on a team trying to compete for a title.

Crosby immediately fixes that. The 28-year-old posted 10 sacks, 28 tackles for loss and 73 total tackles in 15 games last season. He’s hit double-digit sacks four times in seven NFL seasons and has 69.5 for his career across 110 games.

Over the last three years alone, he’s racked up 68 tackles for loss, second most in the NFL.

Plug him in next to Roquan Smith and Kyle Hamilton under Jesse Minter, and I think this group looks completely different than last year’s version. Baltimore also had the third-most-injured defense in the league in 2025 per FTN Fantasy’s Adjusted Games Lost metric, so the health bounce alone was going to help. Crosby just speeds the whole thing up.

The Price Tag

Two first-round picks is steep. Baltimore is sending the No. 14 overall selection in 2026 plus their 2027 first-rounder to Vegas, giving the Raiders the No. 1 and No. 14 picks in this year’s draft.

Crosby carries a $35.8 million cap hit in 2026, but the Ravens get four years of team control. Center Tyler Linderbaum is a pending free agent reportedly looking for around $25 million per year, and a Jackson contract restructure is almost certainly coming to create cap room.

I get why Baltimore pulled the trigger though. The Cowboys were willing to offer a first and a second per Schefter, but the Ravens stepped over them with that second first-rounder. Jackson is a two-time MVP who hasn’t broken through in the postseason, and the 8-9 finish last year made it clear this roster needed a jolt.

Joe Burrow now faces Garrett, Watt and Crosby in his own division. At +1000 to win the Super Bowl and +440 to take the AFC, I think Baltimore is worth a look before these numbers tighten up even more.
