- Packers were +140 prior to game against the Eagles
- Bears’ odds shorten from +240 to +225 following dominant victory over Redskins
- Lions are the last undefeated team in the NFC North heading into Week 4
The Green Bay Packers remain the NFC North division favorites despite dropping their first game of the regular season in Thursday’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
In the latest NFL divisional odds on Friday morning, and still placed the Packers as the +150 favorites while the Bears moved to +225 following their dominant Week 3 win over the Washington Redskins.
Are the Packers still the team to beat? Are they a good bet at this price to win their first division crown since 2016?
NFC North Division Odds
Team | 2019 Record | Odds |
---|---|---|
Green Bay Packers | 3-1 | +150 |
Chicago Bears | 2-1 | +225 |
Minnesota Vikings | 2-1 | +275 |
Detroit Lions | 2-0-1 | +600 |

The Packers entered their Week 4 contest as +140 favorites to win the division, but those odds moved slightly to +150 following their first loss of the season to the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football.
Thursday Night’s Heartbreaker
A toe injury to Packers’ star receiver Davante Adams seemed to halt the team’s offense against the Eagles. Adams was having a career night with 10 catches for 180 yards before suffering the injury late in the game.
Aaron Rodgers looked like the Aaron Rodgers of old, going 34-of-53 for 422 yards, two touchdowns and one heart-breaking interception in the final 20 seconds of the game to secure the win for the Eagles. It was the first time in four games that Rodgers was also able to throw for 400 or more yards in a single game.

Can Chicago Overcome Their Offensive Struggles?
While the Bears defense is rock solid once again, they’ve been working out offensive issues through the first few weeks of the season.
After a slow start to the season, the Bears have won back-to-back games. More importantly, it looks as if the Bears have also figured out what was ailing them offensively in the early going.

Mitchell Trubisky was an impressive 25-of-31 with 231 yards and three touchdowns in Chicago’s Week 3 win over the Redskins. It also seems like the Bears have discovered another offensive weapon in wide receiver Taylor Gabriel, who had three TD catches for the Bears in Week 3.
Bears, Vikings In NFC North Race
Chicago’s defense ranks eighth overall in total yards against this season and is allowing the second fewest points per game with an average of 13.0.
The team to really keep an eye on are the Vikings, who were listed at +290 prior to Green Bay’s loss on Thursday.
Minnesota’s odds shortened to +275 as the team looks to improve to 3-1 with a Week 4 game lined up against the Bears on Sunday (4:25 p.m. CBS).

This matchup could have huge implications on the next set of NFC North odds released at sports books for that matter.
Lions Remain Unbeaten
There’s one last NFC North team still standing with an unbeaten record — the Detroit Lions, who come in as +600 underdogs on the board.
After its disappointing Week 1 tie against the Arizona Cardinals, the Lions have bounced back nicely with victories over the Los Angeles Chargers and Philadelphia Eagles.

At 2-0-1, the road gets a lot tougher for the Lions with a Week 4 matchup against the Chiefs. A win there and expect to see Detroit’s current odds of +600 shorten significantly heading into Week 5.
For the time being, consider betting on the Bears, whose defense gets better with each passing week.
