Seahawks Walker to Miss Another Game

Walker was unable to practice at all this week and will be missing for a second straight game. Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll was admitting that there would be some question whether Walker would be able to answer the bell. So you’ll have to look elsewhere in the rushing markers for Seahawks vs Cowboys props

RDE Leonard Williams, acquired by Seattle at the NFL trade deadline, is showing as questionable due to an ankle injury. He’s been limited in practice this week.

Injuries Impacting Cowboys Defense

While there may be no new injuries among the Dallas starters, it would be incorrect to suggest that the Cowboys are traveling injury-free. On the defensive side of the ball, there are two key players on IR in the form of LB Leighton Vander Esch (neck) and CB Trevon Diggs (ACL).

On a more positive note, both SS Jayron Kearse (back) and LB Dante Fowler Jr (illness) were cleared of any injury designation earlier this week. LB Micah Parsons missed one day of practice this week due to illness but is also good to go. On offense, backup RB Rico Dowdle (ankle), limited in practice early in the week, has also been cleared and given the go ahead to play in the TNF game.

How Could Injuries Affect Seahawks vs Cowboys Betting Lines?

The absence of Walker, who led Seattle with 1,050 yards and nine TDs on the ground as a rookie last season, is tangible in the Seahawks vs Cowboys picks. It’s no coicidence that the Seahawks have gone 20 straight offensive possessions without a touchdown since he was injured against the Los Angeles Rams on November 19.

There is no injury designation on Seattle QB Geno Smith, who was getting treatment for an elbow ailment as recently as last week.

The Seahawks are also facing some depth issues among their receiving corps. Backup WR Dee Eskridge (ribs) is questionable. He didn’t practice on Wednesday. As well, reserve WR Dareke Young (abdomen) is doubtful and has been limited in practice reps. TE Will Dissly (hip) is also questionable.

Eskridge is Seattle’s #1 kick returner. His backup is RB Zach Charbonnet, but Charbonnet figures to be getting the bulk of the reps at RB with Walker out. The Seahawks aren’t going to want their RB1 running back kicks. That means if Eskridge can’t go, it’s likely RB DeeJay Dallas would handle kick return duties.
